Taqueria Estrella

Well today’s experience was absolutely awful with zero point zero service. The gal behind the counter obvious did NOT care about what she was doing. She gave off the vibes of «Why did you come here?» «You really want to order here». She took my order and slowly dragged her feet to go get a taco salad shell. She proceeded to cough openly, and then grabbed the shell begrudgingly. After she filled up the meat, she went to fill with lettuce. Her personal phone rings. It seemed like it was her boyfriend. She repeatedly told them she was working. Slowly and surely she picked up the dropped lettuce and bits on the cutting board area and put it on top of my salad.
She then comes over and we repeat the whole thing over with my Beau’s order.
She has no business working there when she has this attitude. I generally tip well, even for counter service. But since we got zero point zero in service, she got NOTHING!
When we left, oh she had her charm turned on for some shady looking guys at the counter.
She faked saying thank you all cheery when we left. FAKE!
As much as I really like their taco salad, after today, they lost our business for good. Hmm, and I like to eat at Mexican places once aweek… lets see that is about 800.00 a year for them!

Tasty food. Definitely need training on Food Serve Safe…,.bare hands should not come into contact with food. Use gloves or tongs. Please

Food is great! Unfortunately, I stopped going there because of sanitary reasons. Young lady at the register took my money and gave me my change, then proceeds to make my burrito with no gloves on. This happened the last two visits. If the kitchen is to be opened, should be more mindful of things like that.

This is probably the best Mexican food in Oroville. Very generous portions for the price. Not the fanciest place but if you want a lot of really good food for a good prove this is the place to go.

Mostly tasty food. The salsa was a bit bland, chips nice and crunchy. The chile relleno was reheated in the microwave and tasted it. the shredded beef tostada was very good. Small, dark interior, but clean and neat. Cash only.
It was quiet except there were 2 small children running around screaming and then the parents would scream at the kids. Not very relaxing for eating.

We’ve been here several times and it’s always delicious! The chicken and carne asada are mexi-​licious!

I had the Shredded Chicken Burrito, it was very good, lots of authentic spices.

Food was great. Only caution: taking a bite of your food when ordering it with hot sauce is like playing Russian roulette, most are amazing but ocationally you get that one that will light you up.
Only reason I didn’t give a 5 star was they are a cash only restaurant

I have eaten here ever since highschool, and whenever I’m back in town, my wife and I make it a point to visit this place. They have the best Carnitas tacos and burritos we’ve ever had! Get the Carnitas tacos or the soft tacos, you won’t regret it.
