Pukownik Maria Fine Art Restoration

Maria did some cleaning and minimal restoration for us a couple of years ago, on an unusual piece of 18^th century art, and did it very sensitively — just as requested. Just the other day we took her a large 18^th-​century oil painting to discuss what it needed. She (and her husband, who obviously knows a lot about art) spent a full hour with us, showing us where the painting had already been cleaned/​restored and discussing very frankly the pros and cons of doing more. We’re not experts; she could easily have «sold» us on doing an extensive job. Instead, she said she thought the painting was beautiful and that we’d be better off taking it home and enjoying it as it is. Then she declined a consultation fee. Knowledge, experience, talent — plus honesty, and generosity with her time. Highly recommended!
