Absolutely great place for breakfast! Food and service was excellent and we loved the coffee bar. Will come back to check lunch and dinner and try the beer.

You will not be sorry that you stopped here for breakfast or lunch. Get there early because the secret must be out. We stopped here last year after a visit to Bridal Cave and fell in love. Service great, food amazing. Last year for lunch, this year for breakfast. The Vanilla Bean French Toast was voted best item in our order by all 4 family members. My kids had waffles and pancakes and ate every single crumb. Must go to!!!

Beignets, Eggs Benedict, Mimosas, oh my! I don’t live at the lake but my mom does and anytime I go visit we always go here! Everything is absolutely scrumptious and I highly recommend you visit early(the wait times can be long) and often!

Pretty good, on the pricey side but definitely an unexpected find in The middle of nowhere.

On the Rise Bakery is one of my favorite restaurants at the Lake of the Ozarks. Their breakfast and lunch items seem«traditional» on menu– but the meals are wonderfully prepared and beautifully plated. Over their years, I have enjoyed their lox plate, club sandwiches, and flatbread pizzas. However– I always return for the lobster bisque en croute with a splash of cognac. All in all– On the Rise Bakery is a step above the usual brunch location that takes breakfast and lunch to a culinary artform. Recommendation: lobster bisque(heavy cream base soup), orange blueberry scone, ham and cheese roll

My husband and I just love having breakfast here! The mimosas are fantastic and they have several flavors to choose from. We usually get the beignets and a coffee to start off with, I would definitely suggest the house grande latte, it’s not too sweet, but the sprinkle of cinnamon gives it the perfect touch of indulgence you want for breakfast. Now this place is a little on the pricey side, we usually spend about $ 75 after tip, but that’s including 4 alcoholic beverages, 2 gourmet coffees and our meals. The atmosphere and level of service you get makes it completely worth every penny. On the rise is THE breakfast place at the lake whether you are just visiting or living here full time!

Thank you Unilocal, for bringing this place to our attention. We came between 11:00 and 12:00, so we were able to order from the breakfast or lunch menu. I ordered the three cheese omelet with potatoes and my wife had the spinach crispini. My omelet was among the best I’ve ever had, and my wife loved hers as well. The homemade chips they brought to the table were great, and the cinnamon roll croissant we had for dessert was excellent. Service was attentive and friendly, and while the prices weren’t low, the place was totally worth it!

If you are looking for a breakfast, lunch place unlike anything else at the lake you must go here. Whatever I have ate from here it is always excellent. My favorite 3 dishes are the bananas fosters, the french onion soup, and the spinach crispini oh and don’t forget about the monkey juice or there bloody mary made with the infused peppered vodka. I usually try and find one thing that could be better about the experience but I can’t find anything its that good.

Great food. I had the BLTT and lobster bisque, and my husband had the chicken salad. Both were delicious! Only complaint was how long it took for the food to come out, but it was worth waiting for. Yum!

My family and I travel around the world for business and pleasure. And we are«wannabe-gourmet-chefs-in-training» in our own home.. . We think we know food well enough to strongly advocate for On the Rise as one of the top breakfast/lunch bistros anywhere on earth. Mike and Cheryl have spent their lives building what is inarguably an incredible atmosphere, with surprisingly well-balanced, refined, and sophisticated fare, served perfectly, by a staff that’s as professional as the ownership. Expect a small wait for a table,(the creativity and quality here are well worth it), and also expect your patience will be amply rewarded when your entrée arrives. Moreover, pass the time in the expertly curated kitchen accessories and gourmet ingredients boutique adjacent to the main dining room. Finally, spread the word. Your friends and family won’t find an establishment this excellent in Kansas City, St. Louis, or any other cities within driving distance. Remember too that quality comes at a price – but one that is comparably low. Anywhere else on the planet, food of this caliber would command easily twice the price! A real value!

This is my ultimate favorite breakfast restaurant on the lake! Their European Benedict is so delish! Paired with a mimosa is excellent! Good service. Can get busy during the Summer and you will have a long wait– but it’s worth it!

Loved this place! We were on our way out of town to go back home from a conference at the Tan-Tar-A resort and Unilocaled this cute little place. The prices were a little higher than we thought they would be but the food was amazing! Absolutely delicious! We ordered the Flatbread and the herb and cheese omlette with the fried potatoes. The service was great, the staff was warm and welcoming, and it was beautifully decorated. Even the bathrooms were fancy!!! I would definitely recommend this delicious little bistro and I will be sure to eat there again when I come back to Osage Beach!!!

Great breakfast at a moderate cost. Worth every penny. Usually choose from the sweet side of the breakfast menu and my favorite is the banana fosters French toast. I’ve had the goat cheese crispini and the beignets before and both were extraordinary. Monkey juice and coffees are great. There can be a wait but don’t be deterred. The only problem is that they’re closed from Christmas to February which is a bit annoying.

My reviews of this place keep vanishing. So this is my third attempt and I will do it in haiku format since it keeps going away. «On the Rise Haiku» The food I got was good Third review others gone Refrigerator.

Well now, I certainly didn’t expect this. A French breakfast bakery at the lake serving gourmet breakfast with actual fresh OJ squeezed in plain view? I just had one of the eggs Benedict options, cooked perfectly. While I waited 30 mins for it(holiday weekend) I got a cream cheese cinnamon roll from the counter since I had heard about it in other reviews. It was ok but tasted a little less than fresh. I’m sure if you can get one hot out of the oven it would be amazing. The service was good and for the lake this raises the bar. I have no reason to return to Kay’s, my former favorite.

If you’re looking for an upscale breakfast at the lake, look no further… The breakfast and brunch menu is nothing short of incredible and the service and atmosphere is the same. It has quickly become our favorite breakfast spot at the lake… A few of our favorites– Omelettes, Monte Cristo Sandwich and Eggs Benedict… Not to mention the mimosas and bloody mary’s… Only Con’s– The portions are on the smaller side and it’s quite pricey…

Went their for lunch on Wednesday. Even though it was a warm day, I had the Lobster Bisque and a half club sandwich. The soup was wonderful and the sandwich was very good. the service was friendly and attentive. The server was right back with the cognac after our meal was delivered. I recommend this place, and plan to return.

What a cute little brunch place at the lake! A swanky little café right off 54 that’s a little on the pricey side($ 35+ for 2 people) but you definitely pay for good quality food and the ambiance. I ordered my food to go which really wasn’t a good idea considering mine was the European Eggs Benedict. It had spinach and feta with a truffle sauce. The spinach wasn’t quite cooked nor quite raw. That definitely needed improvement. The hollandaise sauce was one of the top ones I’ve ever had. Creamy and not bland like most cafes. I ordered my daughter the applewood bacon, egg, cheese sandwich which was recommended for her by the cashier. The bread was super thick and she would barely put it in her mouth. I ended up eating most of it later. I ordered a white chocolate mocha to go that was rich and I could definitely taste the espresso’s full flavor. My daughter picked her out the birthday cake cookie. It looked cute, but was super dry. She ended up not wanting to finish it. Next time I’m at the lake I will definitely come back and eat actually here. There was a 30 minute wait. They also have mimosas and a few other alcohol drinks.
