I called Boyt to see if I could get replacement clips for my H48 case and what it would cost. The lady I talked to was very helpful and sent them for free! I was surprised that they didn’t charge me since it wasn’t a factory defect but my case was actually damaged in a car crash. The case protected my gun during a 65 mph head on crash and the scope still was zeroed. I am impressed with their customer service and products.

I used to think I liked Boyt. They boast lifetime guarantees on many of their items, such as padded shotgun cases. I purchased the padded takedown case for my over/under and it has been great. I did notice that after just one instance of traveling, the thread for the quilting has already began to unravel — this was surprising and disappointing. With my purchase came a 20% off coupon — Great! I ordered a shirt online and it came a few weeks later. When I put it on, there was about 8″ of extra material on each side of the shirt(I ordered a Medium). I emailed their customer service department and asked them to send me a size Small and I would send them the Medium back. They said I would have to order the Small and pay for shipping both ways — yuck. I told them, ‘no thank you’ and I would return the Medium and order from them no further. To return the item, I needed to call for a return authorization number. When I called, the woman on the other end of the line made it very apparent that she did not want to help me. She provided no guidance, was rude in her tone of voice, and generally was not helpful at all. Customer Service is a make-or-break component of doing business with any company. Boyt’s lack of customer service for their online retail model had broken my willingness to give them my business. Shame on you, Boyt.
