The sign says«Mama Mia» so that’s a little confusing because it’s also called Cottonwood Inn. But the buffet is good for a country food meal. Some different stuff on the buffet every day. Kinda small dinning area. This place is right off Interstate 55. Located at the Econo Lodge motel.

Had the meat lovers omelette. Had 2 bites and couldn’t take another one due to horrid stale taste and excessive over salting. They took it back and said to check in front of me for the full price of the inedible meal which I thought was a bit much. I ended up paying for The ice tea which was two bucks and very good, I’m leaving the waiters a three dollar tip because she looks so upset over the food but she did get them to take it off the check which was certainly worth it because it would’ve been quite a disruption if they had wanted to charge me six dollars for food I could not eat. Service is good and friendly, But food is inedible go somewhere else.

A friend of mine and I paid a visit to this restaurant. We were on a road trip and needed to get some lunch. We stepped inside and were seated at a table in the dining room. We both opted for the buffet and the food was great. Iced tea provided a relief from the summer heat. Total bill was $ 18.66, not bad for all you can eat with a drink.

The attached lounge/motel is absolutely where I would film a horror movie if I had to film a horror movie in the near future. I mean, really. Terrifying. However. The restaurant offers a perfectly acceptable breakfast menu, good coffee, endearingly awkward service and prices from some distant decade. I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit, but for a stop along the way, it was a good one.

The SO and I ate here the other evening. There is an attached but separate bar/lounge here with the restaurant., which are both attached to the Plum Point Motel. If you want a drink(beer, mixed drink, etc) you have to order and drink it in the lounge. You can eat in the lounge as well. They serve a «home cooked» country buffet. On the buffet that night was country ham, fried chicken, some kind of BBQ meat(not sure if it was pork or beef), chicken ‘n dumplings, beans, carrots, corn on the cob and various salad bar choices. They also have a menu which mainly consists of sandwiches and breakfast items. The food was OK by me, the SO loved it(I guess my home cooking isn’t as greasy as he would like). If you like home-style buffet food, you should find something you like.
