Will always choose Hunts canoes for any of my river trips down the AuSable! Great family owned and operated business which is really refreshing to see anymore. Super flexible and extremely knowledgable about the river and any trip you may be thinking of taking. My family has been taking trips through Hunts for years now, highly recommend!

If you’re looking for a day of fun in sun in lovely Oscoda, MI then tubing, kayaking or canoeing down the AuSable River with Hunt’s Canoes is just the thing for you!
Hunt’s is family owned and operated business and their staff is extremely knowledgable in their industry.
Hunt’s will drive you to the «drop-​off point» and pick you up at your final destination when your trip is complete. They are personable, friendly and give great advice if you’re looking for additional activities in the Oscoda, MI area.
I’ve taken 3 trips with Hunt’s for the last 3 Summers and I am never disappointed. They love what they do, and enjoy meeting people as they do it.

Friendly staff will get you a canoe and safety gear. On your trip to the ‘drop-​off point’ you will hear great stories, advice on canoeing and places to visit afterward. Hunt’s folks will be monitoring the river at your final destination for your approach. They will help you out of the canoe and on to the dry ground you have been missing for hours…
Enjoy the Au Sable river… what a great Michigan treasure.
