Went on a Friday evening. 20 minutes before closing. The food trays were packed with hot fresh food. Very few people. The food was amazing. Steaks made to perfection as we watched. Couldn’t ask for a better dinner. Thank you. Ps: my only gripe is that the wait staff said that all the food gets dumped at closing and not donated… sad…

So, I’m not really a buffet kinda gal, but I somehow ended up coming here a couple of times with the boyfriend. The salad bar is pretty good, they have a decent hot entrée selection, and the medium-rare steak that I got was in fact medium-rare, which was nice to see(and quite tasty, too). Service, for what they do, is excellent. Drinks are refilled, plates cleared, tables wiped down, and all with a smile. Is it great food? No, not really. But if you’re not sure what you want or have kids, Golden Corral is not a bad option at all.

Golden Corral is a buffet that seems to have a little bit of everything for anyone. We have visited the local Golden Corral several times and have not had a disappointing experience yet. Gourmet food it is not, but it is good wholesome fare from my experience. The experiences that I have had have shown the food to be good & hot when taken from the buffet. The buffet has a large number of things including a salad bar, steak made to requested temperature, fruit, vegetables, all the way to dessert. The wait staff has been good during our visits as well. The family does enjoy it for those times that everyone wants something different for dinner. The rolls are also very awesome with the honey spread they have. All around, if you are looking for a place that has a little bit of everything, stop by.

The few times we’ve gone, it was for lunch during the week(M-F) because they are SO slow in getting the lunch items out after breakfast ends at 11 am on the weekends. When they do start getting the lunch out, it’s all sides(rice, broccoli) and no meat. They need to tell people that the omelet station ends at 11. They don’t turn people away and will continue making them til 12 or 1. I like my steak well done and the only way to get it is to stand there for 10 min while they make it. Not everyone likes their steak bloody. There are a few waitstaff that are very good(Jessica) but the majority are not very responsive. I wasn’t really happy about the decision to put all the desserts in/on those tiny plates. It sits there and dries up

Very good! Our first visit to a Golden Corral and we’ll be back. We were surprised there was no lunch pricing on a Saturday but there’s a nice variety of meals. Everything was well stocked and hot. You can get breakfast items or steak. Little slider burgers were awesome.

I like coming here with my fianće before 4pm for the lunch prices. $ 8.50 is not bad for the nice quality food they have here. They slice their veggies fresh and their mini burgers are my fav. The staff at this location is very nice. We always seem to get our regular waiter Jesus and he’s very kind; he has a great attitude and makes sure our drinks are always full.

I go to this Golden Corral once every other month during lunch. The food is fresh and the selection is good. The food is a little institutional(bland or salty). The Bourbon chicken tender and tasty. The Philly steak sandwich is really salty. Mac and cheese is bland. Salad is always tasty. Dessert is good. I love the banana pudding. The service is always great. And everything is pretty clean.

This is a place where hefty people with hefty appetites can indulge in a massive variety of buffet items with high fat content. It is difficult to navigate around the various sections in order to locate food choices with some logical notion of their location. For example, omelets are located in the salad area, and there is no way to know what foods are where other than the desert area. That spot is occupied by unsupervised children who indulge in fingering the foods. This corral is not so golden!

If you don’t know, Golden Corral is a buffet. They feature everything from Fried foods, to salads, freshly grilled steak, dessert, fresh fruit and of course the chocolate fountain. This Golden Corral is no different. The variety of food seems to be the same every day. I asked the waitress if they ever changed the buffet, but she said it stays the same every day. That’s good and bad. Good that you konw what to expect when you go there, but the Bad is that if you don’t like what’s on the buffet then it won’t get any better… at least I thought so… We had never been to Golden Corral at any other time other than for dinner. Well on this trip we got there about 3:30pm. An odd time, but still had plenty of patrons, mostly of the senior citizen discount variety, but rarely are senior citizen intrusive or loud :) As we paid for our lunch/dinner we noticed it wasn’t the $ 12 or so we had come accustomed to, it was $ 7.95 due to it being before 4pm. We both got water and our total bill with tax was $ 16.21 for two! not too shabby in my opinion. Upon my first trip to the buffet I noticed a couple items that were foreign to the normal Golden Corral buffets i have gotten used to. These Items were Mini Corn Dogs, fresh Texas Cheese steaks served on Texas toast, and Tamales! While none of these may get your gears going, they do for me. And on top of that the Cheese steak was just fantastic. Super hot, and the cheese just was oozing out. I sat down with my first plate of goodness, and upon staving of my girlfriend from stealing my booty of awesomness it was approaching 4pm when I got up from the table to get 2nd/s. I noticed there was just a smidgen of the items I had just recently discovered left!!! What was this abomination?!! Well I spoke with a couple cooks and apartently those 3 items that I had just fallen in love with were only served for thier«lunch» buffet. They were switching to REAL steaks… BOOOO!!! Their steaks are ok… but not anything in comparison to the Cheese Steaks they were just making. I was sad they stopped making my newly found items on the buffet, but happy that I learned of the«secret before 4pm». Its cheaper and in my opinion better choices on the buffet. I would suggest trying it some time, and if you can stave off hunger from lunch and fill up while you are there, you might do as we did and only eat 1 time instead of lunch AND dinner.

This is a tricky review to write. Being Ms. St. Paul Savvy, going back to my hometown is such a culture shock. We chose the Corral for a central mtg. place for families as well as different dietary needs(like fried everything? Very funny). Before I get into it let me tell you the staff is wonderful. Cleared plates continually, refilled drinks pronto and were just plain nice! From what I witnessed, the Corral generally serves a large(literally) clientele decked out in Packer apparel. But hey, in Oshkosh for $ 12 all you can eat?! Fantastic. They DO have salad. I sampled the«hand made» mashed potatoes(yum), fish and rice(Very tasty) steamed broccoli(I had to make some kind of effort) and Mac and cheese. For dessert I bellied up to the chocolate fountain and dipped coconut macaroons. Heaven. There is so much to choose from and it’s mostly all self serve which brings me to my low point. Everyone and all their chapped lipped children have been handling the serving utensils… ah that’s why there are bottles of hand sanitizer scattered about. So far I’m not suffering any stomach problems… I’ll keep you posted.
