Great café in the back of a gift shop. Friendly, helpful staff and great food. I had the grilled cheese and pear sandwich. I’ll make sure to stop back next time I’m in Oskaloosa.

Another wonderful treasure in our town. Hunter’s is a lovely combination of a gift store with rich, beautiful, unique items.
After (or before) doing a little shopping, the little café in the back lulls you in for yummy food.
it is a quiet, intimate place to share lunch with a friend.
Don’t miss this when you in Oskaloosa.

Very colorful and cute store with a café in rear of store! Food was homemade by Frank and the family all helps out. Food was great and service top notch! Coffee was outstanding and well made! Don’t miss this cozy spot! Another thing that is so fun… you can shop before or after lunch!

This place is in back of the gift shop, eating here is much like having a home cooked meal. Small menu, decent size dining room, and all food is fresh/​delicious. Very nice to have the open kitchen style to see them cook. Music is always awesome and sets a nice mood. Only open for lunch and not a very big outside sign, so look close when you drive by, good lunch is there hiding in the back for this hidden gem.

My friend and I went for a late lunch and the owner was very accommodating even though it was late. We both had the chicken salad sandwich with chips. Very delicious and the bread was fresh. Hunters store n the front had cute and different kinds of things to buy including tons of nice scarves and household items. I would definitely eat there again.
