The best part about this restaurant is its location and food. Very casual atmosphere, shorts & T’s acceptable. Melamine plates, plastic cups, cheap plastic chairs & tables. On a humid night wear bug spray or you’ll get bitten alive. Menu & specials never change. Not so special. During winter season, expect very long waits. Yellowtail very good, veggies ALWAYS the same old carrots & string beans.

The almond crusted Red Snapper is devine as is the Ahi tuna. The rice and fresh steamed veggies are a plus. Sitting in plastic chairs doesn’t thrill me. but, my biggest problem is with the tiki bar. The regulars can be rather upidy and clicky to the point of nausea. Great place for my favorites but only visit a few times a year now.

This is a very interesting place. The bar is in a tiki hut across the parking lot and the restaurant is separate. Kind of cool, kind of weird and different. I started off at the bar, I ordered a Long Island, that was the worst idea ever. The worst one I have ever had. But, oh well. We ordered a starter of calamari, the breading was so good. I wanted more. For dinner I ordered the shrimp scampi, I wanted to bathe in the garlic butter sauce. It was so tasty and the portion was huge! We topped it all off with some key lime pie, it was also very tasty. I highly recommend.

Even with a little bit of a long wait, this was a great restaurant to come to during our stay in Florida. Some food with a water view is what I want to experience in the Sunshine state! I enjoyed the view of many illustrious mansions on the way to this place. I like the casual atmosphere, totally reasonable prices, yet I was able to order fish entrees and things like mussels! Service was pretty quick, considering how busy the place was! We ordered mussels in a white wine sauce and fried calamari to start. Both were excellent. In fact, I was pretty obsessed with the mussels. The sauce they were made in was so good we were practically drinking it. I got the famous crab cakes for my entrée, which were very good. Not the best I have ever had, but appeasing. Their homemade tartar sauce was so good I wanted to put it on everything! Including their fries, which were sooooo excellent. They had a little bit of a seasoning on them. This seemed like a local, and tourist favorite!

Meh. We went for lunch, but this is obviously a drinking hole. The peel and eat shrimp are standard with a Cajun spice mix served cold. The calamari was well done. The smoked fish spread very yummy. The crab cakes, mahi sandwich, and grouper sandwich were below standard. All three entrees were seasoned with the exact same spice mixture and the fish was dry.

This is probably my favorite my favorite sea food restraunt if you want to splurge then this is your best bet. Tonight, I had the boulibase and it consists of: lobster, muscles, shrimp, scallops, and garlic bread. P.S: this place is a dive but worth it
Now for my experience: We walked into an old Florida style shack. Our waitress new what she was doing and was so nice and amazing. We had a wonderful appetizer & meal and best of all its across from a tiki bar!!! This is deffenetly in my top 5!!!

Great view. Decent food, just not very imaginative and too expensive. Conch fritters were good but too few for price. Location equals high dollar checks no way round it. Tiki bar nice sèrvice spotty if not a hotty. Can’t order food from tiki bar. Was advised to call order in on my cell and pick it up myself to eat at tiki bar. Weird.

Great garlic bread, nice staff, decent wine and beer. Get the almond crusted snapper(I know– everyone recommends the same thing) because it is really really good. Also– I’m like a key lime pie professional. Really, I should get paid to eat and then review key lime pie. My thoughts on the one here? Get it :)

Love Casey Key Fish house, been going there for many years, great fish, burgers, it’s casual dining, always busy, great service. Tiki Bar is a great place to sit and watch the boats go by and enjoy the local entertainment. Not a place to go if you want Fine dining but some of the items on the menu resemble that which you would get a much fancier restaurant. It’s amazing what the put out of the tiny kitchen, never a disappointment!

We stopped because we were hungry after driving quite a bit. Food is eatable but the location is the one that sales. Nice cocktails with a kick, o would recommend it most likely for nice drinks on the edge deck. :)

Cool out of the way joint on the water. We ate the Garlic peel and eat shrimp and it was super oily sauce not deveined so low marks for that. Coleslaw was good.

Excellent food and service; fun atmosphere. A taste of authentic Florida. We made a lunch of clams, peel and eat, crab cakes followed by key lime pie. Sitting right by the water on a sunny day. Heaven!

Love the fish house! By boat or car it’s a fabulous weekend destination. There’s something for everyone here ! For me– it’s the white sand, blue waters, and the rum runners. Gets a little busy during season, but when the snow birds flock south it’s a local gem. Take a day vacation and sit on the water at Casey Key fish house and let your troubles sail away!

The location and view make this place. The food and service is fine but I never had anything that blew me away. But this is a little gem that not many people know about.

Been coming here for years. Always top service and great food! The bouillabaisse is paradise in a soup bowl and even including Southern France probably one of the best I had. Setting is low-key, so don’t expect a fancy restaurant setting. It is very laid-back and beachy here.

The coolest hidden away spot. Love it! Authentic chilled out stripped down kinda joint. No pretension here. Just ultra fresh, local, well seasoned & preperade seafood. The clams w lots of garlic, white wine & butter are definitely a highlight as is the snapper. THIS snapper is outrageously good. Like even for the«I don’t eat snapper» people but they devour it with out breathing between bites kind of good! Cocktails are as potent as the humidity here! The tropical tiki bar is a great spot to chill out too. I rarely write about cost in my reviews but this merits it. Given the quality and freshness of the seafood, it’s a real deal. If you think your lost while driving through the SoFL mansions, keep going. It’s at the very end.

4 Stars for many reasons… We decided to try this little tiki hut based solely on other Unilocaler reviews and are we glad we did! Great little place way out on Casey Key in Osprey. It’s super cute and really secluded yet it has lots of parking. Miller Lite cans were $ 3 so we went with the vodka/sprite were a better bargain at $ 4.50. We didn’t try any of the food though the menu looked and sounded great. The restaurant which, is just on the other side of the parking lot, was quaint and had lots of outdoor airflow. Clean restrooms, friendly staff, and a live band(in the tiki hut). Awesome!

We went there for a drink after going to the chalk festival down in Venice. Except one drink turned into about four. we found this place using Unilocal and we were glad we stopped. We didn’t get any food, we just sat outside at the tiki bar. We loved that they have Adirondack chairs around the water to chill and relax in. We found 2 and grabbed them. It was nice sitting there instead of the bar. It was so relaxing. There was a band playing, at first it was a bit loud but it was bare able. The drinks were yummy and the view couldn’t be beat. We will def be back

I love this place! Have been many times. Will go again. Friendly servers. Delicious fish. It is a FISHHOUSE. So why did I order the shrimp scampi over angel hair pasta? This is not a pasta house. 24 hours later I am still recovering from the garlic. And I love garlic. But this was over the top. My mistake. Good news — I have not been visited by vampires in the last 24 hours. Order any of the baskets. Terrific value and great taste. Also the specials are always spot-on. Location on the water is so relaxing.
