We are among the few of the first tenants here. maintainance crew here is fabulous and the clearing of the snow last year and so far this year has been great.

Avalon Ossining is by far the prettiest, cleanest, newest apartment rental community in the area. Maybe white plains offers nice quality, but this area — Hudson Valley — is unique in history, beauty, nature, as well as easy commute to NYC. situated on the Hudson River. I have a view of the river from my second floor one-​bedroom.
Maintenance is excellent. Management office is excellent. Rent increases can be a bit steep I heard from neighbors who left. Therefore, pretty much turnover. Maybe increase won’t be so high going forward!
I live in a beautiful home… sometimes i wish this place were condos for sale. Great place to call home.
Dog friendly. No weight or size restriction. Good for some. As for me, wish their were a weight limit. Just saying.
Overall, best act in area.

It was beautiful while we lived there, but the extensive rent increase caused us to move someplace more reasonably priced. The maintenance team was awesome, and I thoroughly enjoyed the gym, pool, and barbecues. It was upsetting to have to leave after we were just getting settled in, though, because the rent increase was so huge. It’s just not doable for a long term living arrangement.

This is a nice, clean, and well run community. Pet friendly, non smoking, nice grounds with the aqueduct trail. It’s between the Ossining and the Croton Harmon stations so it has an easy commute to NYC.

First of all, people like «Walter D» are the type of people avalon does not want living there. Yes people have dogs… surprise. Yes the dogs can try to approach you… surprise. When you live in an apartment complex there will be people walking around above you… surprise. If you dont prefer Human interaction, this is not the place for you. Avalon for the most part has been great with friendly waves from neighbors and an enjoyable end of the summer at the pool. The staff is friendly and understanding, and the residents for the most part are the same. Amenities are supreme as far as build quality, and the clubhouse is a fun time for when you have visitors. Again if you dont like other people, Im sure Walter D has an opening in the bubble he chooses to live in.
