Its hit and miss. Been to several Great Cuts. This is the slowest shop and here about six times. Only got two cuts I liked. You get what you pay for.

Third time I’ve tried to get my haircut here, but they’re always closed, even in the middle of the day on a Saturday. I eveh tried calling first, and they still closed 3 hours before their posted hours.

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m cheap when it comes to haircuts. I can’t justify spending $ 60 – 70 for a trim. Great Clips isn’t too far from Chappaqua, actually 8 miles, but worth the trip. I don’t remember the woman’s name that cut my hair but she did have pink hair-which I loved. Any way, she did exactly what I wanted and my hair came out looking fabulous all for $ 19(I got a $ 4 shampoo)! The salon is clean, bright, and the staff is so friendly. You can book an appointment online, which is so easy and convenient. I’m definitely coming back!

Cheap, but you get what you pay for. I used to go here all the time because I didn’t really know where else to go. They used to have a young guy who gave really nice fades but I think they fired him. Now it’s a bunch of salon ladies that dont really have experience with barber-style cuts. Ended up looking like a fool a few times and after the last one, I’m not coming back.

worst hair cut ever on my 12 year old daughter. and she has long hair. just needed a trim and they couldn’t do that. her hair looks like it hadn’t been touched and is crooked. simple hair cut and it looks terrible. will have to spend more to get it fixed.

Hard to get a decent haircut from what seems to be an ever changing staff of fresh out of cosmetic school barbers. Gave this place a few tries and now its back to the arcadian barber shop in the same strip mall.

Well, I’ve tried about 6 of their stylists and except for one, i’ve been underwhelmed. There is a lot of turn over, but hopefully the one I like(Demitra) will be sticking around. She gives a great haircut and my wife goes to her to.

I received an email from a stylist that I guess used to work at Great Clips but is no longer there or changed locations(they didn’t seem to know her when I went into salon, but then the woman doing the checking out at the register seem to recognize the name) she contacted me because they read my review of another salon(see my reviews and you’ll see it). I’m still not sure if this email was 100% legit because they emailed me through Unilocal not from their great clips email account or anything. Anyway this person claimed that Great Clips could give me a blow out just as good as an upscale salon for half the price. I had an event to go to on a Sunday and the salon I normally go to isn’t open so I decided to try them out. If you haven’t read my other posts I have extremely thick, curly, frizzy, coarse hair. Now the salon I normally go to I believe charges around 50 for a blow out, so I’m assuming this company has done their research and would charge around 25. I mean its my fault for not asking before I booked the appointment. Plus when you walk in the sign makes it seem that a wash and blow dry would be around 15 – 30 depending. I explained to the woman what I wanted, I like my hair blown out, but not flat ironed(if I’m paying someone they are going to work, I can flat iron at home myself), I like it big, but not frizzy, with volume and a bit of a wave, but not curly. I hate having to explain this to stylists over and over again. This is why I stick to my #1 guy all the time because I can just walk in and he just knows. Anyway, the first woman couldn’t seem to handle all my hair by herself so she called over(I didn’t ask her to mind you) another stylist to help her blow me out. They had me faced away from the mirror so I couldn’t really see what they were doing plus they had all my hair in front of my eyes. I felt like they were pulling my hair the wrong way so it would curl under not out like I like it. I said something and they seem to acknowledge it. When they finished, I mean my hair didn’t look bad by any means, its just not how I like it. It was an ok blow out, I could have done the same if not better on my own in around the same amount of time. I walk up to the front to pay, now I’m expecting to pay around $ 25-$ 30. They charged me $ 55 for the blow out??? Are they nuts?!? I showed them the email they said because I had two stylists its double. I didn’t ask for that. Its not my fault the stylist couldn’t handle my hair. Don’t offer yourselves up for a challenge like this if you can’t handle it. The woman agreed to give it to me for $ 40 after reading the email I showed her from Unilocal.she said that stylist either doesn’t work there anymore or is now at the Mt. Kisco location, it was unclear to me which one. The staff was overall very nice, but they are not that experienced and its just not the same as an upscale place. It reminds me of the salon in the JV mall. Its ok, not horrible. Its not up to what I expect a salon to be, but then again I’m hair spoiled. I think if someone is looking for a decent blow out or cut and no frills and you don’t have complicated here this might be a good place. I did contact the woman that emailed me on here after my appointment she never wrote back, this was almost 2 weeks ago now. I had a whole email chain with her in early September and just finally got into going in now… so not really sure what their deal is.

I had only one experience here with stylist Jessica. It was great, I was helped right away and loved the cut. I don’t know why people are so quick to complain when they charge next to nothing for a cut. If style is crucial to you because you have short hair or whatever, maybe you want to try somewhere else. But for long hair, a trim with layers(which is what I got), it was excellent and I’ll definitely be back.

I went to this place a few times. One of those times, I asked to get my bangs trimmed and was sent out with wet bangs — I have curly hair that I straighten, and anyone with curly hair would find this unprofessional. The lady didn’t even offer to blow it straight for me, but they did make sure to charge me for every little thing possible as they rang me up. Another time, the stylist was not there and the girl in the front had to go find her. As she came back inside, she was complaining that she didn’t feel like working anymore and to not accept any customers after me… loudly, without any worry about me hearing any of it. This happened hours before their scheduled closing time. After that, I decided to never go back there again. Try Carmen’s in Croton instead, the girls there are always very nice.

Great Clips in Bethel, CT is Aweful… aweful…AWEFULEXPERIENCE! I gave it 2 chances and the second time was just as aweful than the 1st time or even worst. Staff is obnoxious, fake and very unfriendly! They gave me a 45 mins wait time… and to be called in after 50 mins. Tried to tell the hair dresser how my 13 year old wanted her hair styled but only to be cutoff numerous times and to be ignored. They are also too hung up on the name on their computer system. Took a good 5 minutes just to clarify the name part of the visit UGH… Dejavous?! It doesn’t freakin’ matter how my name is spelt or if it’s incorrect for that matter… I just wanted to get my kids a simple cheap haircut. And as far as the haircut goes… Terrible! As the other people have already said on here«You get what you pay for» …so true! NEVERAGAIN!!!

Meh… you get what you pay for. Husband went during opening season. «Stylist» with cigarette infused hands coudln’t manage to cut the few hairs he still has correctly. Never again. Going back to Acadian, right around the corner, where the cutters are funny, well travelled, and know how to handle all kinds of hair.

Hits and Misses. I take my son here because the price is right…$ 5 promotion when they first opened and $ 12 now for a regular children’s haircut. I think adult prices are a few bucks more. They send you coupons periodically through the mail. Out of the 4 – 5 times that we’ve been here, I think we’ve gotten one good haircut(even all over, no strays hanging over his ears) and one horrible cut(The lady decimated his sideburns to a point that it was almost a «bowl cut». I couldn’t stop her quick enought and the damage could not be undone). The rest weren’t good, but weren’t terrible. They don’t do nearly as good and thorough a job as Snipits in Scarsdale, but Snipits charge $ 21 the last time that we were there.

The cut was okay… not for people who are looking for a polished look better for kids who just need a trim.

Incredible service!!! I expected next-to-nothing for a $ 4.99 haircut, until I learned the stylists all left their high-end salon gigs to work here. And I don’t blame them! This salon is beautiful, the staff is super cute(not to mention talented), and unbelievably friendly and welcoming. I am thrilled with the quality of my haircut, and look forward to bringing all of my friends and their kids! You can’t beat it… there is NOWHERE in town open 7 days/wk offering this level of value. IMPRESSED!
