J’s Shoe Repair is a great place. My father has taken many of my shoes there and J has made them brand new. I really appreciate him and I think he’s awesome that’s why I keep going back. I’ve been going for at least 5yrs(or at least sending my dad here)! I’ll always be a customer! I brought some shoes I bought without a zipper, he fixed them. I need a heel resoled in the platform area as well as a new tip on the actual stiletto and he fixed it amazingly. LOVE J highly recommend and he’s insanely affordable!

We have a specialized item(conveyor belt) that we have had repaired a few times at J’s. Price and quality are wonderful. Bought a pair of shoes off the sale rack which were high quality and also a great price.

They did just fine repairing /resoling a pair of boots for me. Nothing that stands out, but it seems like they did a good job. I’m returning for more work, so I’ll see if my review will stand after this next time.

J’s Shoe Repair failed me miserably — — –and the worst part is that I believe that they could have cared less! I took a Coach purse in to have the clasp repaired in late June of this year. I was told by the woman behind the counter that it would be ready after first week of July because of the shop’s scheduled vacation. I came back to the shop sometime in late July/early August to pick up the purse. I waited while the repairman(presumably the owner) went to retrieve it. He came back some time later and informed me that the purse was lost. He assured me that he would look for it and upon finding it preform the requested repairs. He took my name and phone number(because he also must have lost my personal info along with the purse…) and assured me that he would call me in a couple of weeks when the purse was located. Because I did not hear from him, I decided to stop by in September to check on the progress. Same story. The purse is lost and he will call me when it is located. I stopped by the shop on October 9 to see what was going on. I was told that the purse had been located but that it was not repaired. The repairman told me to come back later in the week and pick it up — — repaired. I stopped by today, October 15 and was told by the repairman that the purse was in fact NOT repaired. His exact words were: «You brought the purse in and we lost it and then we found it… and now it’s not repaired!!!» With this, he gave me a wry smile. I told him that I would take the bag, still in its un-repaired state, and go somewhere else. The repairman returned the bag to me and turned and walked into another room — — with me still standing there. I guess this was his way of showing me that he didn’t really care. So what I will say is this: J’s might do good work… if you are a priority for them. But if in fact you fall low on the list of priorities!!!
