I’ve recently stayed here, and had an awful experience. The linens were dirty, the bathroom was not clean, the towels were disgusting, the shower was covered in mold, and the owner/operator was unhelpful with resolving my problems. If you’d like pictures to substantiate my claims, please contact me.

Ok first off we got to the inn and it looked off kilter to begin with. It looked like a dilapidated house. We walked up the front steps and there was no sign directing which door to go for the office. When we picked the correct one, we walked in and there was nobody in the office. After a minute or 5 a man who didn’t speak very good English came in. After asking who we were, immediately got on the phone and we knew something was up. He started calling and talking to people about reservations in broken English and our name was mentioned several times. We figured out that they had let our room go to someone else. He continued calling on his cell phone and the hotel phone at the same time, and he eventually said something about us not calling by 3 to reserve our reservation. This did not make sense because we had gotten two confirmation emails, neither of which said to call by three, and said that that check in was actually from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. After sitting there for about 45 minutes we decided to travel home about 4 ½ hours(after having driven the same amount that morning) because there were no other vacancies within a 75 mile radius. This hotel is a fraud. DONOTSTAYHEREUNDERANYCIRCUMSTANCES!!! This business is a house converted into a «hotel», but it is really a duplex whose owner put dead bolts on the bedrooms and started charging money to sleep there. I highly doubt that this business is officially licensed nor does it meet standard codes for cleanliness or health safety. Again, DONOTSTAYHERE.

Horror Story. First, when you find this place, it’s out on 10th street, which looks shaky right away. I didn’t believe it was even an Inn because it looked like a run down house with a wide(empty) driveway. I felt bad because I was the one to arrange the booking for 3 people. I had booked via . Originally booked for October, but had to change it to November. Between us and them, they had us down for a different date than when we arrived. The front desk was unoccupied on arrival and we had to call a telephone, from the front desk to get someone. The phone at the front desk we were at rang. A man answered and said he’d be up. Then a woman arrived and checked us in. No mention of no reservation or that they’d previously charged us already for the previous week. On entering one room, it reeked of some curry and indian spice cooking from(I suspect) the owners’ residence in the basement below. Despite 25 degree outside temp, we opened the window, and turned on the A/C. We then left to go to dinner. Upon return, no one was around in the lobby and so we returned to the rooms. The room still smelled, but not quite as horrible, though maybe that was due to getting used to it. The next morning, the bright side was, the smell was even less, but whatever they cook in the evening, if you happen to get that room, expect to smell it for the night. HOWEVER, THEDOWNSIDEWAS there was NO hot water in that room, even after running it for 25 minutes. I suspect the hot water pipe was frozen because one of the other rooms had hot water. Another problem was the WIFI was nearly impossible to connect to. It kept appearing and disappearing with a very weak signal. Then it would cut out, be real slow, or non existant.(Not a huge problem for us, more of an inconvenience). We had to check out early(7am) and again, no one was available for us for assistance. There was a basket with a sign on it directing us to drop the keys in the basket. Today, when I happened to look at my online credit card statement, I saw the double charge. I called the«hotel» to let them fix the double charge and discuss the smell in the room and no heat. Right from the start, the attitude was basically, Tough Luck, we’re not doing anything for you. EVENINCLUDINGTHEDOUBLECHARGE! They said we might have cooked something in the microwave to cause the smell. That was some nerve! Then they said we should have said something about the hot water.(TOWHOM???). I asked them 1, to remove one of the double charges, and 2, to make some adjustment for the HEATLESS shower. No consideration. After exhausting myself after 15 minutes of phone conversation, the woman said(though I question this too) she had no authority to make any adjustment. I asked that someone with decision making authority to call me back. I have not heard from them at all. I don’t expect to. I have called my CC company for their assistance. I am hopeful something can be adjusted. I don’t mind paying for something. I do mind paying for it twice. And I also mind paying for something defective, like a hotel room without hot water. I would stay clear of this place for 4 reasons: 1. TERRIBLECUSTOMERTREATMENTANDSERVICE 2. Shaky environment to begin with 3. Misleading Advertising(WIFI) and Marketing 4. There are plenty of other decent places in Oswego, NY to stay in like: Best Western, Quality Inn, Knights Inn,(I’ve not stayed in any, but at least they look decent. I was fooled by ratings on web [probably fudged by owners and/or relatives]

Big, clean room at a great price! Best shower flow(with plenty of hot water) I’ve ever had at a hotel. Gracious, helpful proprietor.

Best little bed & breakfast in Oswego. If your looking for a some quite and privacy this will probably be the best place to go. I feel like this place is like my home away from home.
