BE WARNED… do not consign at Rekindle Consignment in Oswego!
I was a consigner at Tissue Boutique in Villa Park who is the same owner as Rekindle. My contract was up at the beginning of October and I was to pick up my unsold items and check. I received a call from owner Vickie asking if she could hold on to my items a little longer because they had a low inventory. I agreed and we discussed that I bring in a few more items that she previously rejected seeing as her inventory was low. I never did bring the other items over I am so glad. A couple weeks later I received a call from someone else at the store stating that Tissue was closing. I told the woman I was sad to hear that and inquired why they had to close. I was told that Vickie did much better at her store in Oswego because people out there have money. Ok that wasn’t too insulting. I asked if they wanted to buy my items for the other store and I was told absolutely not. I was given a two hour window on the following Saturday or Sunday to pick up my items. When I picked up my items I asked for my check in payment of my sold items. The response was, «Oh you were never paid for your items»? I told her no because Vickie asked to hold onto my items a little longer. I was told that owner Vickie would reconcile my account and would send me a check. To date I have not received a check. I couldn’t be more disappointed. Vickie claimed to be a Christian and seemed so nice I would never have imagined that she would stiff me like she did.
I have tried calling Rekindle to try and get in touch with Vickie several times and NEVER get an answer.
Vickie if you get this message look through your consignment contracts from Tissue and send me my check!

Rekindle is a great local consigment shop in the heart of downtown Oswego, Illinois. It is a small shop, though I respet it, it can be hit and miss. Don’t let that keep you from visiting Rekindle because with the right attitude and patience, you can find some real gems. I have not only consigned at Rekindle, but I have also shopped there.
The owner of the store is very helpful and accomidating, which keeps me coming back. She is more than willing to take down your information and contact you when merchandise comes in your size or specifications. With that said, I have found Premium Denim, slacks for my husband, pink cowboy boots for my neice, and great jewlery while shopping with no agenda.
Not only does Rekindle carry women’s clothes and accessories, they also carry men’s, tween, and maternity, clothing, as well as gifts for all ages.
