The Popcorn Store

I’ve been seeing this place for a while now and haven’t been able to try it yet! The store hours just don’t cooperate with my work schedule. I wish they would close at an hour later but I get it, it is a family owned business and I don’t blame them for wanting to get home to their families!
I had the day off and was able to stop by this cool little popcorn shop and was pretty impressed once I walked in, they have Tons of tins on display and TONs of popcorn flavors (I think they have 60?)
I want to try some more of their flavors later but I went with the Medium sized bag of The Chicago Mix. It was pretty good and my kids loved it! I didn’t have time to ask them but I am curious if they make their popcorn fresh and would like to try it as soon as it’s made I bet that would be amazing! I was happy with the service and hope to try their other flavors next time I stop in!

This store is such a gem! I love helping small local businesses, and they always do such an amazing job! Plus, their popcorn is top notch! You can sample any of their many flavors in store, you can mix two flavors of popcorn in one bag (as long as it’s in the same price level), and their bag sizes are well worth the cost! I often buy the smallest bag of the savory or caramel popcorn choices, and it’s only $ 2.25! What a bargain! Keep it up, Oswego Popcorn!

My 5 year old son’s favorite thing is popcorn and I took him here as a special treat. He tried at least 10 popcorn flavors and the staff kept offering up more for him to try, he favored the savory ones over the candy ones (crazy kid). I bought a bag of Denver for the office (like Chicago but the cheddar is white) and he settled on his favorite of parmesan garlic for a snack to go. I love independent stores and this is a gem among the strip mall of chain stores.

Awesome popcorn and candy store! They have over 60 different flavors of popcorn! I’m talkin’ cream soda, cheesecake, loaded baked potato, mac and cheese, some covered with chocolate, some covered with caramel, some with nuts, some with pretzels… whatever you’re in the mood for, they got it.
The staff were so kind and helpful. The man at the counter, who I am assuming was the manager, let us try any kind of popcorn we wanted before purchasing. He was adamant about letting us try as many as we could stand so we could make the right decision. This is SERIOUS, okay?!
I fell in love with most of them (except dill pickle, that was kind of odd) and left with multiple bags. In addition to popcorn, they also sells a ton of candy. A lot of chocolate and gummies. So I left with a few bags of chocolate too! ;)
The bag sizes range from mini to extra large and depending on which size you get obviously determines the price. I think the prices range from like $ 3 to $ 40. You can also get the popcorn in neat, decorative tins in case you are buying the goodies as a gift for someone.
Great prices, awesome staff, and delicious, unique popcorn! I can’t wait to go back.

I love this place! Every time I go I always get two or more bags of popcorn. The only thing I wish was different was the store hours. Even if they were open until 8pm or 9pm that would be better. Sometimes I get so busy in my day and forget that they close at 7pm, especially on Saturday’s since they are not open on Sunday’s.

We LOVE this cute little popcorn shop — great (abundance — 60+) flavors of popcorn (favorties include white cheddar, bacon cheddar, oreo, almond toffee, southwestern jalapeño), a nice selection of «penny» candies (gummies you can’t find anywhere else in cool shapes like sharks, army men, fighter jets and in interesting flavors like mango & banana-​strawberry), and a small array of soda pops (also unusual /​rare — such as a Butter Beer from Harry Potter). Always a great customer service experience — you can try as many flavors as you like. Quick & prompt service with a wonderful product. Hopefully this «gem» stays a small secret in the community because I do love the short lines and ease in getting our flavors, but I don’t think it will stay that way. Much better than Garret’s or Nuts on Clark for those Chicagoans who are enamored with those shops — head on over to the Popcorn Store and I guarantee it will become your new favorite!

Anyone who likes flavored popcorn should stop in. We have tried quite a number of different flavors and love them all. A couple of our favorites are extra cheddar and caramel. And at different times of the year they put out unique flavors. You will like it!!!

The flavors are delicious. They have so many to choose from and are very nice about giving samples. Very affordable. They also have an interesting soda collection and lots of candy! I am addicted to the caramel apple salt water taffy…

Best Popcorn Ever! They have a nice Mini snack size that’s pretty inexpensive. Love it. Will be going back again! So many flavors. It’s like the 31 flavors of popcorn.

Loaded bake potato is the flavor to get! No cheap after taste ingredients!
