Perfect little breakfast destination! I stop there sometimes after work or on the weekend after a night out. I have never had to wait in line and the service is typically spot on. I suggest to order the garlic seasoning on the hash browns. Prices may be a tad high, but I go there anyways! –Bring back the buffalo chicken omelet please

When I think about Oswego, I immediately think about the Ritz. It was where everyone went on Saturday or Sunday mornings after a night of drinking, or just to catch some decent breakfast for cheap. The place is SMALL and there is ALWAYS a wait. Usually the wait will be around 30 minutes or so because the food comes out really quickly and the waitresses run around like mad women. They are non-stop on the go, and really friendly and patient for the most part. There is a bar area with about ten stools you can snag if they are available and don’t feel like waiting for a table. It is difficult to come here with a group larger than 7 or 8 people. Usually when my friends and I came in with 8 people we tried to get back to back booths. They are always on their coffee pouring game and their food is delicious. I always got egg white omelettes loaded with veggies, my choice of cheese, wheat toast and AMAZING home fries. Cash only. I miss this joint. OMG I almost forgot, the absolute BEST corn beef hash on this earth. NO freaking joke.

I LOVE The Ritz! They’re cheap, great diner food and the staff is always friendly. I always go there anytime I get a chance for breakfast or brunch! I recommend the egg white veggie omelettes that come with any veggies you want, and the home fries are out of this world.

This is a great place to eat. It’s always packed around 10 – 11:30, so you might have you wait if you go during that time for breakfast. Their meals are all great and the waitresses are too, quite a few are even characters. Breakfast is the highlight of the Ritz, but dinner is also good. Great place to eat in Oswego! They could use a renovation, if anything, to their décor.

Very nice local diner. It’s has a somewhat rough around the edges look but I felt it adds character. The waitress was very nice and the wait wasn’t long at all. Now to the food. I got the BLT burger and my friend got the blu cheese burger and we were both more than satisfied. It was a very delicious burger with a very reasonably price. My friend was so impressed she ordered another one to take home for her boyfriend. All in all a very nice diner experience.

We were in town to visit family and just so happen it’s Easter Sunday. We went there for what we thought would be a quick brunch. I ordered an omelette and my bf ordered something else fairy easy from the menu. At least half an hour goes by, no food. The restaurant was about 90% full but I’m pretty sure people that came in after us got their food before we did. Also, my bf had caught the«oh crap» look on our waitress’s face at least twice when she looked over and realized we still haven’t gotten our food. During this whole wait, we didn’t hear from the waitress even once, no «sorry for the wait, your food is coming». I don’t think their average food wait time is long, I think something got screwed up and we just were never told. I’ll probably go again when I visit Oswego again since their food is probably better than some other diners around but I’d know to just be prepared to wait.

The Ritz is an Oswego main stay. It’s not pretty, but hey, neither are you. The food? It’s cheap and way better than anything you could cook. Don’t feel bad, just put your phone down and enjoy the meal. Yes the burgers are served on a thick slice of bread. Is this still a burger? Yes. Does it transcend burgerness by being on that sweet delicious rye covered in caramelized onions and cheese? Yes. Will I return to conquer this 8−12oz beast that has tamed my heart? Always. Honestly, if you appreciate a Patty melt in its core-being, then you should go no further. Beyond your patty melts and general burger-craft, you have your typical diner breakfast fare which is self explanatory. Desserts are good and the sandwiches can quench the hunger of a thousand lumberjacks. Should you visit the Ritz? If you answer yes to any of the following, then please, you are needed. Do feel the need to eviscerate your hunger with a beefy-cheesey melted treat? Do you enjoy eggs and toast? Do you enjoy Cinnamon Raisin toast?(It’s bangin’) Are you hungover? Do you enjoy polite conversation discussing world events and contemporary politics? Are you hungover?

This was honestly the worst food experience I have ever had while eating out. Though the food was reasonably priced, it was not as good as I expected it to be. The burgers were not actually burgers, they were a beef patty on bread. In addition, the pancakes were dry. I ordered sausage with gravy and biscuits, expecting large pieces of meat, only to find that it was a bowl of gravy with soggy biscuits and small pieces of sausage. It was very unappetizing and I could not eat it. The one positive I will say is that the waitress was nice and took the sausage meal off of the bill since I did not eat it. However, I would not recommend this diner to others. Very disappointing overall.

Not a good place to eat. I ordered pancakes and the batter used in them tasted bitter. Friend ordered the homemade sausage and gravy and barely ate any. The sausage had a stale taste to it. Service was OK, waitress did not come around to check on us but at least she took out the sausage meal from the check. I heard Mimi’s or Maria’s are better…

I was disappointed with the appearance of this place and my meal. The place was run down and looked like the windowsills could use a dusting. My food wasn’t anything special. The spicy home fries were nothing to die for. The especially gross part was when I was eating the last part of my omelette and discovered a black hair in the eggs. I was sick to my stomach and ready to leave. I didn’t say anything to my server although she asked twice. I don’t like calling attention to myself especially since customers were starting to come in. I won’t stop there the next time I am in Oswego. I just wanted others to know so they aren’t as disappointed and sick as I was.

Great for breakfast. Very typical diner food, but quite good. Best pancakes in town(IMHO). Good burgers also. Specials tend to be a good choice. Servers are quite the characters. Gets pretty busy on weekend mornings. Probably one of best breakfast spots in Oswego.
