Amerispec Home Inspections

I was referred to Rich Berg of AmeriSpec by my realtor as a reliable person to do a pre buy home inspection on a new home I was purchasing. As I have not been thru a ho, e inspection before I was in the hands of Mr Berg to perform his job correctly. All seemed to go well. Shortly after taking possession of the house I learned that I was not given (what I believe) was accurate information concerning a problem with the house. Should I have been aware of this issue to the extent that it was a concern I would have addressed this concern with the prior owner before signing papers.
After learning of the concern and having it corrected (at my expense) I contacted Rich Berg to discuss this issue with him. This is where the real concern arose. Rich Berg was rude and bullying. He talked over me, would not listen to me… and questioned me but would not allow my the space of time to answer him.
I was completely disappointed in Rich Bergs follow threw when a problem did arise. His professionalism was non existent. Given Rich Bergs follow threw, should a problem arise I could never recommend him to another person. It was a small matter, nothing to big… that should have been discussed calmly and with politeness. Rich Berg was ready to shoot right from the moment of «hello».
…as a side note, shortly after this my spouse and I were checking our hard wire smoke/​fire detectors. We were horrified to learn that the one on the upper floor was not even connected. Obviously these were not really checked.
Very disappointed… especially in Rich Bergs attitude, lack of professionalism and lack of concern after he collected his money.
