Pizza Hut

So apparently when the major pizza chains had a big price wars years back and you could get a pizza for a good price this place did not seem to get that memo. The girl who took my order was very friendly but to be fair I expect that in most places as we live in a civilized world (sort of). The pizza is my main concern here so I’ll just go into it. First the price is a bit high for pizza these days and apparently like Papa Johns they think their name warrants that price. Sadly the product was basically at a frozen pizza quality level. It wasn’t like chewing on a foot with ketchup on top like at Papa Johns but just very flavorless. The cheese was very white, like not fully cooked white, like you could see how it used to be shredded cheese kind of uncooked. I only tried it because I’m still sort of brainwashed from childhood commercials and as I’m new to this town figured why not. Since they upgraded their sauce I and the prices are better I’m sticking with Dominos in Ottumwa because this place definitely let me down.

Just your standard carry out or delivery Pizza Hut. I love the new offerings for their pizzas. This place is just a couple blocks from the AmericInn so I placed an order online and walked there.
It is a small shack with a drive up for carry out. Inside you can see the whole prep area which was kept very clean. Friendly staff. Clean place. And a good pizza menu. Only problem was the kids wanted ice cream dessert and there are no Dairy Queens in town to satisfy their cravings and Pizza Hut does not sell ice cream.
