While it is still too early to call and my palate’s experience with BBQ is not as extensive as some other people, I venture into the realm of calling Adam’s the best BBQ I’ve ever had. Ribs are a good test for how well a BBQ joint does their cooking, and Adams’ ribs do not disappoint. I also have been looking for a place where you can get an actual wing… thew whole thing… and the flavor is pretty amazing. Their sides are superior to other places, I have tried almost all of them and the ones that stand out are the corn bread and beans. The service is excellent, however it is not a quick in and out type of place. But believe me, it is well worth the wait. Go and have one of their combination sampler platters and I can bet you, you will be coming back for more.

Because they just opened it is too early to call good or bad, but I will share my experience there. Truly, I see a lot of potential in Adam’s Rib. I walked in not more than a week after they opened and saw a lady at the register straight ahead. Naturally, I walked over and was ready to place my order. That is when I was informed that I would have to go to the left, where there was another lady, to place my order. I went over and ordered a reg. pulled pork and fries and, as a reflex, started to pull my card out to pay. Then, of course, is when I had to go back to the first register to pay. Confusion. I didn’t have too long of wait, and my order came out — for dine in… no big deal, looked good, and they got it in a to go box quickly. I arrived back at work and opened it up. Looked great, and boy was I glad I just got the regular sandwich: it was quite big. The pork looked pretty good, and the fries were nice. On trying the sandwich I wasn’t displeased although some work is needed. First, the sauce has an unusual taste. I don’t know what it is but something doesn’t seem quite right. Is there a lot of coffee in there? Chocolate? Something else? It wasn’t terrible, but I would prefer a slightly spicy, vinegary sauce with no frills. The pork was good. Nice and tender with no fat. Moist, maybe too damn moist: where the pork and the bun touched the bun was soggy. I mean damn wet. WTF? That I did not like. Maybe they keep the pork in a pan with some water to keep it from drying out. I don’t know, but something needs to be done about that. At least butter and toast the bun or something. I hope the owner is reading this and taking everything that is a criticism as constructive and everything else as a compliment. I really do think Adam’s Rib could have a promising future, and I will definitely go back. I strongly recommend anyone go try it, and remember, they just opened. ********************************EDIT************************ *** I’ve been back over to Adam’s Rib once since the above review, and they have improved a few things. They added signs to help clear up confusion as to ordering. Of course, when I went in the second time these signs didn’t help because the«Order Here» area was empty, and they had to call us over to the«Pick up» area. Anyway, the sauce was a lot better. No strange flavors detected this time. They’ve also added a «spicy» sauce which was pretty good and had a small amount of noticeable heat. There was also no sogginess to the bun where the pork touched it. All in all, I’d say Adam’s Rib is worth a try.

NOT a fan of the turkey sandwich. It is essentially deli meat that has an overly soft, processed texture. I was picturing something… well, a little more like real turkey.
