I like Art & Frame pretty well. They do a good job at framing at a reasonable price. They also have a lot of pre-framed artwork hanging around the store, but most of it is not my style. The staff there are always friendly but there are just a couple of misses that keep this from being a 5-star review. First, they’re not always fast, nor good at communicating. They’ll give a date when they expect to be done with your framing, but don’t give a heads up when they think they’ll be late. I had a poster framed for my hubby for his 40th birthday and told them it was for his birthday and the date. Unfortunately, it was not done in time, nor was there any communication from them that it would be delayed. The same thing happened when we recently had a couple of prints framed. One was for a Christmas gift and fortunately, they did get it done in time for it to be shipped for an on-time arrival pre-Christmas, but after it was shipped, they let us know that they forgot to put the print info on the back of it. Oops. Too late. The other print was delayed due to the frame material we selected being out of stock, but this was not communicated to us until we went to pick up the other framed print. So here’s the thing: If you’re not needing something on a deadline, they do pretty good work at a reasonable price and I would definitely recommend them. But if you’re on a deadline or are a stickler for really good customer service/communication, you might be disappointed.

Someone recommended I try this place. I needed a white lacquer frame and apparently that is a crazy request in a town where the only white frames come«shabby chic» style. As you enter, you walk past a lot of art and mirrors to reach the back of the store where the frames hung on a wall. I had already grabbed three off the wall before I noticed a sign that said«only staff behind counter.» Alicia said that is because frames have a tendency to fall off the wall. I walked by a wall of framed mirrors, but samples of wood velcroed to the wall are dangerous? That sucks… I have spent my entire career in one frame store or another and I am used to pulling exactly what I need to be efficient and quick. I honestly have zero patience standing there while items are selected for me. I hate those games. Anyway, I did finally locate a frame(never found the white lacquer) and was surprised when I was told to pay half up front. Not sure what kind of people they are used to dealing with, but I can’t remember the last time I put down a deposit of a frame job. Anyway, good location.
