Music House School of Music

Music House is the absolute best! I have been taking guitar lessons at the Overland Park location for over 5 years, and my two boys ages 14 and 9 for four and two years, respectively. What I appreciate most is the fact that Music House has professional teachers, with actual backgrounds and educations in Music, that allows me to address the full spectrum of my learning and development needs from the elements of music theory, composition, and improvisation to basic playing fundamentals and skills such as rhythm, time and syncopation, as well as more advanced techniques. The private lessons allow me to customize and tailor my sessions to address the various areas that need attention to make me a better, more competent and confident player. My instructors are fluent in a wide variety of musical genres from classical to jazz, blues, folk and indie, as well as traditional rock — and everything in between. This is the perfect place not only for young beginners, but also for new adult learners and seasoned players. Highly recommend!

My son continued his guitar lessons at Music House when we moved here 3 ½ years ago. We loved the atmosphere of the place and his private teacher, Andy, was the perfect compliment to my son’s quiet (moody?) temperament. Andy soon moved up to management level, but our teacher is still great. My son now plays with an advanced rock band and his skill level continues to blow me away. Thanks Music House for teaching my child and for providing such an awesome outlet. The evening concerts are the best!!!
