Great selection of BBQ grills, smokers & accessories! They also have a wide range of high efficiency fireplaces. Plus, the food samples on Saturdays are great.

The husband and I are in the market of a new grill. Also want to support the local small business, we decide to visit smoke n fire. I want to like this place cause is local and tons of variety. However, the prices are just too high. However, they have tons of bbq sauce, seasonings, pizza ovens, and crazy variety of everything you need for bbq. 4 stars cause I like the atomesphere, the products, and fun stuff to look at!

After some solid visits here in the past year, I’ve been disappointed lately due in most part to their lack of customer service. Buying in stock items is still an OK experience, but my recent purchase of some grilling accessories has been a nightmare. I special ordered (and pre-​paid) for a set of accessories for my smoker. Assured it would be «a week to ten days» I wasn’t put off too much. This waiting game has turned into 7 weeks and no notifications from the store except when I call to ask about the status. Each time I’m told «we don’t have a timetable for it’s arrival and we’ll call when it arrives.» Grrrr. The worst part is that I’ve found the item in stock at a local hardware store for the same price. The receipt states no refunds on special orders so I’m in a bit of a jam either way.
I’m at the point where I either want my money refunded so I can go buy it at the hardware store, or expedite the shipping to get it here ASAP. It’s not an usual item and is probably something I should have picked up online anyway.
I definitely won’t order anything from them again. For lump charcoal needs and an occasional in stock item, I’ll take my chances. I’m frustrated with the process and help along the way.

This place is huge and has everything you need for smoking and grilling BUT they are very proud of their offerings and you pay premium prices here. Great place to browse but I spent my money elsewhere.

Love Smoke N Fire. It is a regular stop for me every week as I plan my weekend BBQ. I just wish it was closer to McGonigle’s meat market!
— Good selection of smokers and grills. Stick smokers, ceramic smokers, Weber grills, etc… I purchased my Kamado Joe here and it’s been a high quality product that I’ve got a lot of enjoyment from.
— They teach BBQ classes here with chef McPeake! The classes are hard, if not impossible, to get into because they sell-​out 6 months in advance. However if you purchase a smoker, you get priority enrollment in the class. I’ve attended the class and found it very helpful.
— HUGE selection of rubs and sauces.
— Large variety of equipment, tools and supplies.
— Good variety of lump charcoal and flavored woods.
Why not 5 stars? Not a lot of staff. They’re usually busy on weekends. Every time I have a question, it takes a good 10 – 15 minutes to corner a staff member and get help. Long waits at the check-​out register too.
They’re a bit pricy too. I have a friend in the same business in Springfield, MO. His prices are usually a bit lower than Smoke N Fire’s, not to mention less sales tax.

Awesome store with everything you need. Unfortunately I avoid it like the plague, the owners and staff are not friendly or helpful and most of the time are pissy. Not sure if it is unhappy people or just think they are smarter /​better than others. It is a very cool shop though…

This store is awesome! They literally have every gadget, every gizmo, every seasoning and sauce!
If it has to do with barbecue then Smoke N Fire has it. The staff are very friendly and knowledgable and eager to help you find what you are looking for. I overheard them making friendly product recommendations and ushering customers to their requested merchandise.
On this visit I purchased a large bag of mesquite. Now, I have never purchased wood anywhere else so I cannot speak to this particular value. I will say that this wood produced the most delicious smoked ribs that have ever come out of my backyard.
So why the two stars?
Paul N. said it well. «This place is ridiculously OVER-​PRICED.» I do not shy away from spending money and I am far from cheap. I don’t mind paying a premium price for premium goods. Are these goods premium? Sure they are. But can you find them at other retailers at prices that are more affordable? ABSOLUTELY.

Truley awesome store. Huge and well stocked. They have basically EVERYTHING that you wouild ever want in BBQ gear, sauces, and rubs. I love to window shop in this place, checking out t he latest models of smokers and tasting new seasoning.
However, the reason that I use the term «window shop» is that this place is ridiculously OVER-​PRICED. But then again, the clientle can afford it (JOCO yupsters).

I noticed all the negative reviews were filtered out. How convenient. The common complaint among them was the poor customer service. I have to agree with them 100%. This place thinks a little too highly of itself and is offended if you’re not simply in awe of the place as well. They don’t feel they need to go out of their way to help you, you should just feel honored to be in their esteemed store in the first place. I’ll shop at Oklahoma Joe’s from now on.

Great selection, terrible customer service. They do not honor their Unilocal check in deals.

I ordered a thermometer from Smoke N Fire on Mar 1, 2010 for $ 69.99. It was never shipped. It took a year and a half, but I got my refund eventually! Yeah!

Everything you need for grilling and smoking. Plus they sell fireplace inserts and fire pits. They have wood pellets, chunks, and logs in a variety of flavors.
They also have a large selection of local BBQ sauces and rubs. And other BBQ tools and grill accessories. There’s a section with kitchen gadgets and BBQ cookbooks.
They also offer grilling and smoking classes from local pros. Their staff is helpful and very knowledgeable.
Only thing to watch out for is over priced items like the kitchen and BBQ tools/​gadgets. Most of them can be found cheaper elsewhere.

While Smoke N Fire didn’t make the feast that was laid before me over the weekend — they were what made it happen.
