Take A Break Massage Therapy Spa

My husband and I moved to KC recently and were in search of a great massage. As we are both slaves to our jobs, we are not only difficult to accommodate requiring weekend appointments, we also prefer spending time away from work together, thus preferring to go as a couple. We did our best to do some research and ultimately landed in the incredible hands of Jeff and Melissa. Needless-​to-​say we were hooked from the first massage and would never consider going anywhere else. We have gone from trying our best to get there once a month to being upset if we can’t get there twice a month and have increased our time from 60 to 90 minutes, let me tell you it is worth it! Additionally, 60 minutes ACTUALLY means 60 minutes in there massage room, not 55 minutes or 50 minutes. It is quite honestly, a life-​highlight everything time we go and could not be more satisfied. They are not only receptive to suggestion, they actually gave us homework to make sure that we are maximizing our experience. We are huge fans of massage therapy and have spent been fortunate enough to spend time at some very highly rated spas. I can honestly say that Jeff and Melissa are the best that we have encountered.

Looking for a place to relax, don’t look any further this is the place. This is a beautiful spa that will put your mind in a state of relaxation. I enjoyed the 30min foot detox, in which I am going to schedule an appointment with Jeff for a deep tissue massage. Thanks for everything, Jeff.

Great place, a little hard to find, cool massaging chairs. Very reasonable for a massage, gets cheaper the more you go.

I feel like I’m on vacation when I am inside this wonderful atmosphere. The décor is top notch and so relaxing! Bree is the very best message therapist myself or my boyfriend have ever had! She is very knowledgeable and amazing work at getting all the knots out of you. The message chair is well worth getting there early to enjoy! Thank you Bree for your hard work!

Jeff was AMAZING! I had a 60 minute massage gifted to me and I will definitely be going back again. He worked out a lot of the knots that I had in my back and shoulders and while painful at times, I have never had a more relaxing massage than what I did with him. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I can’t wait to go back!

I bought both the 60 minute massage + 10 minute Aromatherapy Steam, & the 30 minute hydromassage + 30 minute Foot Detox from Living Social. The person who helped me when I booked my massage talked me into using both deals at the same time and I do not regret it at all. I started with the 30 minute hydromassage to loosen up my muscles, and then I went immediately into the 60 minute deep tissue massage. The massage was the best I’ve had in a very long time. Then I moved to the aromasteam booth for a quick 10 minute mini detox, before I moved into the foot detox. I’ve never done a foot detox, but I am totally hooked now. It was absolutely disgusting to see what came out of my pores, and I will definitely be going back so I can realize the full benefits of this interesting therapy. After all my treatments, I was more relaxed than I’ve been in a long time, and today I feel amazing! I highly recommend all the services at Take A Break Massage.

Melissa is an awesome massage therapist! She will find any knot you may have and get it out. She knows all the trigger points and will leave you feeling rejuvenated and relaxed at the same time. It’s the little things that make the experience better than other places — sinus mask, warm towels, personalized attention. Looking forward to going back!

Can’t say that I’m a fan but I was pleased with the services that I received at the SPA. The ambiance was normal for a spa but I must add that I like the chair massager.
I used a Living Social Coupon for a seaweed body wrap. It was an ok experience. This was the first wrap that used ace-​like bandages to wrap… it was a little weird and time consuming to actually wrap but it wasn’t that bad. After being wrapped, I laid on a water massage bed and while there could have been more pressure on the jets, it was ok.
Leslie was the therapist and she’s very personable. Can’t say that I’ll do the wrap again but I may go try the massage.
