Target Stores

I like Target. Cheap good stuff with a little cooler look then basic Walmart stuff. Their grocery area is decent, not huge but you can get the basics. Whatever season it is, they always have a section with whatever is appropraite… summer– coolers and such, Christmas — decorations, etc, etc.

The first few times I came to this Target, I hated it. It seemed like I’d go in for one thing, such as a certain size lightbulb, and it would be out of stock on the shelf and therefore a wasted trip. Another time, I discovered that Target and Super Target sometimes ran separate specials and found an item two dollars higher here. And the grocery selection is not as good as Super Target and some items are more expensive here.
But after a year of coming here and giving it more chances, I like it. It’s smaller to wander around than the Super Targets. I find a lot of great clearance items here that we use, like makeup and body wash. It’s a convenient location and easy to get in and out of. The employees have been kind. I’m relieved this store has redeemed itself.

This is your basic Target store. This location is has a fresh grocery section and a Starbucks. It was clean, well organized, and the cashiers hustled to get their customers through the long lines.
If you shop regularly at Target, let me enlighten you if you don’t already know. They markdown items daily, here’s the Markdown Schedule. Yes it can vary from store to store. So just ask an employee and they’ll clue you in. I’ve found this one for the Olathe/​Overland Park stores.

Tuesday: Target Markdowns: Women’s Clothing and Domestics (Décor)
Wednesday: Target Markdowns: Men’s Clothing, Toys, Food, Health and Beauty
Thursday: Target Markdowns: Lingerie, Shoes, Housewares
Friday: Target Markdowns: Cosmetics, Automotive
If you see an item you like, stalk it and be patient. I’ve been able to get items for 50−70% off simply by waiting and watching.
Target offers great every day items for a reasonable price. Plus they have their own product line that’s cheaper than most name brand items and usually just as good. Give it a try.
A few more ways to save at Target:
Price matching, check your weekly ads and bring them in. If a competitor has a lower price, they’ll match it. They must be local and current.
BYOB, bring your own shopping bags and they’ll take off $.05/​bag
If you’re unhappy with something, bring it back. Just remember to keep your receipts as their return policy is fairly strict.

This store is ridiculous I tried to use coupons there and they would not let me use them since the value was for more than the product even though there computers automatically reduce the coupon to the value of the product I was trying to buy a lot of ibuprofen to donate to charity. Luckily the stores in Olathe, Ks where more than willing to help accommodate me with this!
