Tornado Lawn & Tree Service

Got a quick quote from this guy for some tree trimming I needed completed, called him back to book the appointment and he said he’d be able to come do the trimming on a Friday morning at 9. 10:30am on Friday rolls around and no call, no show. I called to inquire on if they were still coming, and he said «oh yeah ill come now, just text me the address» (he should have already had it since he gave me the quote???)… I receive a text about an hour later saying «I’ll be there between 4 and 5pm.» I went ahead and canceled as I wasn’t going to be home during that time. Don’t waste your time with this business!

Was in a bit of a bind and needed my lawn mowed and leaves picked up. Interestingly found a card with the information for Tornado Lawn and Tree Service on my door.
I normally don’t respond to people who leave cards or fliers on my door, but in this case decided to give it a shot, since, you know… I was in a bind.
I call on a Wednesday at 4:11 pm. I receive a text at 4:15 from carlos asking for the address so he can give me an estimate. I give him the address, sent at 4:16 pm and receive an estimate the next day, Thursday at 10:27pm. That’s right. 10:30 at night. The text specifically stated that they would do it Friday, before the impending snow storm.
The text included an estimate for $ 140 (a bit steep compared to other companies but you know, in a bind) I respond Friday morning at 4:15am saying lets do it.
I never heard back. At 12:46 I asked if they knew when they would be out.
Nothing.
Don’t waste your time or money on this company. Very unprofessional, and expensive.
Considering the url on the card is wrong, but the phone number and everything else is correct, I would, using my better judgement think that this is some sort of scam. So beware.
