Walmart Neighborhood Market

I must keep an open mind… I must keep an open mind. I really dislike everything about Walmart. Their friendly employees, that smell right when you walk in that makes you want a sandwich, their low prices. Hate it. This neighborhood market is on the way home for me and more often than not, I can be in and out of here in a jiffy to pick up any item I would normally find at my local grocery store without the crowds.
Walmart is really the worst. This location, however, keeps sucking me in and forcing me to give them business. The prices are just too good, their employees are just too friendly, that smell… well, you get the picture. Everything I hate about Walmart goes out the window when I’m in need and this WNM, for what it’s worth, is great.
Some of the downsides about Walmart are still commonplace here. Strange customers, child neglect in aisles, picture worthy epic fails, etc… It’s worth the trip to get what you need, in moderation.

Employees doesn’t look happy. They wait to put another cashier until the line is 40 feet long. Waited for twenty minutes in line. Ridiculous. A really fast way to lose business.

Decent place. Clean store. Cashiers are rude. Small selection since its not a full size Wal-​Mart.

I abhor this place. It is hell-​on-​Earth.
The selection is what you’d expect from a Wal-​mart. I only come here when I have a need for sundry items and I dread having any more than 5 items in my cart.
The employees appear as if they hate their lives. They refuse to make eye contact, probably in hopes of avoiding answering a question you may have.
The self-​check lines are the worst. They are labeled as «fast lanes», but the store allows people to scan limitless items. Seriously, yesterday a lady had two cart fulls of items and she was in that line. How is that fast? Or convenient?
Unfortunately, I’ll probably spend more money here in the future, but I hate every single minute I spend there as I feel I lose a little bit of my soul each visit.

This is my favorite grocery store. Yes, it is a lot cheaper than other nearby grocers.
It’s rarely busy so you can pay and check out quickly. You’ll also find that because
of the national footprint for Walmart — this grocer receives new products before
other grocers.
The store also has a large number of difficult-​to-​find products not available elsewhere. This is a good choice for grocery if you haven’t checked it out.

We actually do most of our grocery shopping here because the price is right. If we need produce though, we sometimes need to get it elsewhere because it’s not always the best. Whole Foods across the street can help with that. Otherwise, they have self check-​out, which we take advantage of on days when the other check-​outs are really busy.
