I had previously been going to Dr. Wang for some pain issues. For over a year he did nothing to alleviate the pain. I was struggling every day yet he did nothing to prescribe any remedy whatsoever. I had to get a second opinion by a specialist, when he found out and was rude and angry. In addition to this my insurance had to step in to help me get treatment, because Dr. wang wasn’t doing anything to help me. He is old fashioned, is not progressive, and doesn’t take feedback well. Only since he was complained about did he finally do his job!

I’ve been going to Dr Wang for about 10 years. Really just my annual checkups. I first went to him after I visited the Shawnee Urgent care when I first moved to Kansas. He mentioned that he has a practice elsewhere as well if I needed a family Dr. It seemed reasonable so I did. Last year I thought I had a torn rotator cuff and visited him for that as well. He ended up giving me a couple prescriptions and it went away but it came back. I went one other time for worse than normal allergies(if there is such a concept) but he talked me out of getting the steroid shots. I was cool as it did reduce after a couple weeks. With my physicals, his office usually has a 1 week turn around on the results. The only thing I didn’t like, which happened each time I needed it, was that he wouldn’t do multiple needs in one appt. For instance, I needed a physical and get my shoulder/rotator cuff checked out, it had to be two appointments. They said I had to come back for the physical, which is inconvenient as you have to take multiple days off for something they could do in one appt. I think it’s a billing/insurance thing. It seemed that my insurance paid out more on two visits rather than multiple services on one. Kind of like how Plumber’s have a service charge on each call. I know it’s a business in it’s most basic form but this was not something I liked. I went to another Dr and(after doing similar stress tests on my arm and shoulder) he recommended physical therapy, which was costly for me but after 8 weeks, I was normal and my shoulder hasn’t been a problem since. Don’t get me wrong, Dr Wang and his office is great but the multiple appts were getting old.
