Eastern Garden

I live near this this establishment and have Eaten inside and ordered take out. I can honestly say they never have the food ready when they say. It’s always at least 10 – 15 minutes after the time they give us. And, they don’t care if the food is not ready when they say. My suggestion is that if you call, arrive 10 min after they say it will be done. The food itself is not bad. What makes me nervous is the cleanliness. I would not recommend eating inside there. All the tables look like they are never wiped off. The girl who takes your money speaks little English. This is the case on most of these places. It could be cleaner — no excuse.

Just bought our last dinner there since everything tasted terrible. Honey Chicken was the worst I have ever had and I like airplane food so I am not very picky.
The new owners do not know how to make Chinese food or at least fast food take home Chinese food that is really hard to mess up.

Had a great meal at Eastern Garden tonight on Christmas Eve. We needed some tofu options and they had a few on the menu that worked for us. The tofu with garlic sauce was fantastic and the kids loved the vegetable stir fry with tofu too. I haven’t had flavorful Chinese in the area in a while and was very happy with the taste, quality, and freshness here. Crisp fresh broccoli and carrots in each meal along with mushrooms, water chestnuts, green peppers, and baby corn. The tofu was prepared very nicely too and was actually flavorful itself.
The staff was very nice too and the restaurant was clean and smelled nice. Couldn’t really ask for more. I’m not surrounded in Oviedo by great Chinese restaurants, this place isn’t perfect, but it is a step above everything else I’ve tried in the area. When we get Chinese we only eat the tofu options, and they can be spares and flavorless, so it was a nice surprise here.

Dirty. Roaches in the bathroom dead and twiching. Tables filthy they are clean in thr middle and there is a layer of smegma from neglect where plates go. Eggroles tasted aged. I wanted to scrub out my insides halfway through my meal after putting the eggroll in my mouth. They replaced it with a wonton soup. Tasted like piss water. Ive ordered here to go a lot. Never again. Ever ever. Disgusting i feel violated by hidden filth. Sad i wasted 20 to try and take my son to a nice meal. When I complained about the cleanliness of the place the only result was The only result was I was speaking to a driver that was only there for one day he went to the back room and all I heard was oriental yelling at each other no one came out to apologize for the cleanliness or to acknowledge how disgusting their place of business has became

This was literally the worst chinese food I have ever had in my life. Even the fried rice was overcooked and super hard with no flavor. I don’t understand how you mess up fried rice. I bought about 5 different items off the menu that day and everything was terrible. They forgot fortune cookies which what Chinese resturaunt forgets that. They obnoxiously solicit non stop in my complex which I’m tired of seeing their flyers all over the ground.
The only only positive thing I can say is that at least they delivered quickly. Which I live 1 minute away driving distance so there would be no reason for poor delivery.
Long story short, I will never go back.

Not only are these guys the absolute worst solicitors in my complex that is clearly signed as no solicitation, they have terrible food and even worse service.
The driver does not speak English, he will not wait at the gate for a second before calling even though every two or three minutes someone comes through and by the time I drive down to the gate he gets to my door. I payed for delivery and I still have to go out of my way to drive around trying to get horrible food.
This place is a nightmare to deal with.

We were craving Chinese food and decided to try a new place. The fried rice and lo mein is good. The bourbon chicken sauce didn’t taste much like bourbon chicken. The egg rolls are OK and the wonton soup has little flavor.

I was looking for simple Chinese style takeout food near my work and decided to do a little Unilocal!search. Eastern Garden popped up, the price was right and it looked like it would satisfy my craving for a little boneless spareribs. They have an everyday lunch special with 20+ combo options that include and entrée, fried or white rice, and soup or drink. Here’s the best part: they’re all $ 5.75 (if you order before 3pm)! I’m giving this place 4 stars because, even though it was decent food at a great price, it really isn’t anything spectacular. But, for less than $ 6 for a huge lunch? I’m in!

Lunch specials from 11a.m. til 3p.m. daily, all $ 5.75 and include fried rice, drink, and soup! It would definitely be worth a trip. We stopped to pick up dinner; the combos were under $ 8 and include fried rice and an egg roll. The sesame chicken was quite good — loved how the chicken was crispy and hadn’t soaked up the sauce and gone soggy, though the sauce was a bit too sweet for my tastes. We also ordered shrimp lo mein and it was good too, however, the shrimp were quite small. Everything came out piping hot. The best part was that the egg rolls weren’t greasy, yet nice and crisp. There’s a lot of choices on the menu, your traditional Chinese take-​out fare, of course, and the place looked clean. Although I’m not sure their delivery area, they do deliver if you order $ 15+. Overall, not a bad experience, we’d order again.

I would give it 3.5 stars actually… but i am really diggin their hot and sour soup!

Anways… My usual (yes i have a my usual here!) is hot and sour soup, shrimp lobster sauce and krab rangoon.
Lets start with my fave hot and sour soup. It has stuff in there! Real stuff! It has salted turnip, chinese wood ear, tofu, egg, and mushroom. I’ve got to say, every time I have had it was on the money. Usually every other chinese restaurant, their hot and sour is maybe too bland or too much dark soy, but this one is very good.
The krab rangoon is awesome! Its got your usual imitation krab, cream cheese and its either mayo or sour cream but it makes the filling a little sweet and creamier. Whatever it is, its delish… even better when its piping hot.
The shrimp lobster sauce is good too. The shrimp you get here is fresh and its big. I was suprised. It was like ½ inch shrimp! It was like real legit shrimp here with the sauce and peas and carrots.
Singapore rice noodle was also a good choice — nice curry, and the usually rice vermicelli.
Nowing for the meh…
I’m pretty sure they put MSG in their dishes cause my mouth was sooo thirsty, so if that bothers you. maybe you can request not to have any in there.
I’ve also had their szechuan chicken and pepper steak, which unfortunately, couldn’t really distinguish between the two because the sauces was really similar so. those are a no go for me.

Not up to standard Chinese fare. Steamed dumplings were too thick and somewhat water logged but meat inside was OK. Chicken fried rice very bland using yellow rice and frozen peas and carrots — no real flavor at all. Chicken and cashews were also very bland even in the brown sauce. Chicken pieces not high quality either. Chicken Mei Fun was also very bland with a very, very slight flavor, otherwise quite bland. Got two free egg rolls for an order over $ 20. The peanut butter flavor was quite prevalent and tasted like a standard low quality egg roll. I hope they improve as they are close to home. If not it’s back to our fave…369.
