I’m new to the area and have heard so many raves about this fast food chain, I had to give it a try. I think I picked the wrong location. Clearly has management issues. Cashier asked me to repeat my order three times, floor in eating area was disgusting, condiment bar was a disaster, took 10 minutes to get food after completing my order, and it was delivered by a grumpy lady. Food was fine; I’ll try another location.

Pollo Tropical originates from Miami. I grew up on this stuff in South Florida and it hasn’t changed one bit over the years. The food is affordable, fast, and authentic. Not authentic in the sense that it represents one kind of food, such as Cuban or Jamaican, but in a way that blends Caribbean food together in a real way. If you wander on in, you’ll notice that whole chicken is cut up and then cooked on the grill right in front of your eyes. If they are cutting corners, I haven’t noticed it yet. My favorite pick: Small chicken Tropichop with everything on it except beans. I get those on the side ;-)

Grabbed a quick lunch and it was the first P.T. we’ve been to in Central Florida. There were about a dozen people eating and only one ahead of us on line. Two young ladies were taking the orders and one young lady was delivering to the tables and doing«bus-boy» services. The food was actually pretty good and delivered to our table in a timely manner. However, adjacent to us was a vacated table where apparently a group of ill-mannered swine had dined. I have seen authentic pig troughs and they were immaculate by comparison. It makes me wonder about other humans… and I use that term very loosely. There was food all over the floor, under the table, on the table, all over the booth seats and it was disgusting. The reason I’m giving the establishment 3 stars is because they were understaffed. The poor gal who was seemingly responsible for everything in the dining area, started to clean up the mess. It was impossible as she had to stop and deliver food plus handle the bus-boy chores. She finally put red cones around the area and gave up. Who could blame her? A HAZMET team needed to be called in for that whole corner!!! The offending swine should be placed on a banned list.

I am definitely a fan of this Oviedo location. The food is delicious for corporate«fast food,» and they serve beer! Their maduros are so yummy, I want to bathe in them.

Dry chicken wings at 2pm and not happy after driving 12 minutes home to see burnt dry wings. tossed them. bad quality control today, usually not an issue at this location but today it was $ 9 wasted.

The chicken at this place is well spiced and grilled golden brown perfectly. My experiences at other Pollo Tropical has been terrible, the chicken had a gamey taste and many times undercooked. I can safely say I have not had a bad meal at this place ever. I will keep going to this one even if it means me driving.

I like Pollo Tropical, but this location is always a messy disaster and the staff generally seem dissatisfied to even be there. The most recent trip included 6 tables that had not been cleaned of food scraps, plates, and silverware and only 5 parties eating in the restaurant. The remaining tables were absolutely filthy and don’t even get me started on the silverware… and it was only 11:45 am. The franchisee and manager need to clean this place up ASAP.

The chicken is always fresh and delicious! They make the food right behind cash registers and it’s affordable and fast. I also enjoy there sweet plantains and black beans. Definitely a good spot to go to for decent Caribbean food! The place is clean and the staff is nice.

Disappointed. The menu and potions have shrunk. Eat at your own risk. It’s not what it used to be.

Hands down the best Pollo Tropical in the area. Fast friendly service, plenty of parking, and delicious food. My favorite place for lunch. If you like burrito bowls I highly recommend the Chicken Tropichop with white beans, black rice, and everything on it. I have never had a bad one. This location is different from other locations in that when you complete your order they give you a number and bring your food out to you when it is ready. This allows you to fill your drink, select your toppings, and settle into your seat without worrying about listening for your name. They also use actual plates and silverware from time to time just to switch things up a bit I guess. If I had ding them on something it would be that they got my order wrong a couple times charging me for and then bringing me a small Tropichop when I requested a regular. When I mentioned it they immediately got me a regular and refused to let me pay the difference. So not much of a ding really.

Pretty tasty place for last minute dinner plans. The chicken is sometimes a bit burnt though but it is a good alternative for when you want to jut get home and rest and you ache for something that is not overly greasy. I usually get the rice and beans with my family meals and they are cooked well. The sweet plantains also come out well. My only real complaint is that the drive thru is occasionally a pain with long waiting times and wrong orders. The chicken breast is sometimes dry so I typically order all dark and sometimes I get home and they give me both dark and white. Dog and cat get super happy that they get tasty chicken though and do not mind the dryness. Also, I’ve had them give me yellow rice instead of white which I wasn’t a fan of. So don’t be like me and live disappointed, take the time and check ALL of your meal. TL;DR? Good non-greasy food. Chicken is good but white meat is sometimes dry and I recommend the white rice and black beans as sides. Drive thru a bit slow and they will occasionally mess up your food so ALWAYSCHECKYOURORDER!

I love Pollo Tropical. This location is very clean, friendly, and serves delicious food. I always get the chicken breast with yellow rice and beans on the side. Then I get a side of Yuca Fries and smother them in curry mustard sauce. I freaking love their curry mustard sauce. So good. If you haven’t been before, they have you sit down and bring your food like a normal restaurant(unless you’re getting«to-go»). You get real silverware and plates and someone who wants to make sure everything came out right. You also don’t have to tip! They have signs around asking you not leave any tips. I usually leave a dollar or two anyway because I love eating here. I live in Atlanta but wherever I come to Orlando, I make sure I come here at least twice before I leave.

Pollo Tropical was one of my favorite discoveries on a recent trip to Orlando. I’d really missed El Pollo Loco from my California days, and PT hearkened back to that somewhat. I got a large Tropi-chop bowl of brown rice, lettuce, corn, red beans, chopped tomatoes, grilled onions, and grilled peppers topped with a generous amount of well-seasoned grilled chicken breast for around $ 6, and savored every bite. Very healthy for what it was, and service was friendly and prompt, too.

Every once in a blue moon, I’ll stop by Tropical to pick up their grilled chicken to take home for dinner. This location in particular is probably the nicest I’ve been to in Central Fl. It’s always clean the times I’ve gone, and the outdoor patio setup is really cozy, and just completely different in the sense that it’s decorated with lots of plants and furnishings that mimic the islands. I’ve seen a lot of people come here on Fridays just to hang out in the patio area. Yes, they serve beer/wine.

Still good food and prices, dinning area always seems to have dirty tables, but they are always cleaning while we are there. We always manage to find a clean table. One thing that is consistent, they have a soda machine, the Pepsi always shoots out a lot of suds. Not sure why they don’t fix it? It causes a mess on the counter over there. Prices moving up from $ 4.99, $ 5.09,$ 519.$ 529,$ 549 They are starting to price them selves out.

The food is very good and comes out quick. If I’m not to hungry I’ll get the quarter chicken meal its inexpensive but last time I got it it wasn’t enough. You can get that meal and a side, I usually go for the fried yuca, and am satisfied. The best thing for me is the chicken with some of the salsa. Try one of the frozen fruit drinks they are delesious. Overall very good food and ready quickly.

This is a fantastic Pollo Tropical location. The food is yummy and cheap. This restaurant is clean, and staff are friendly. Many times you can get a free quarter chicken with rice and black beans for your next visit on the back of your receipt(just have to do a quick survey). The two of us end up eating for less than $ 10 each time. I would recommend the grilled chicken and fried yuca for sure. This location has brown rice, which I enjoy because it is a bit healthier. Give their different sauces a try. They even serve sangria and beer. Twice they were out of grilled chicken, which may be poor planning on their part, but I’m guessing that it’s because the chicken is just so popular.
