I have been shopping at this Publix for 15 years and I LOVE it. First, the pharmacy is amazing. I get my family’s as well as my dad’s prescriptions there, and they’re always so helpful. I always put my dad’s medication into a prescription sorter thing so he knows what to take, and when. One time I had to have him fill a prescription and I wasn’t going to be there to add it to his individual pill boxes. I called the pharmacy and the pharmacist pulled Dad aside and put the medicine into the individual containers, and even noticed that in the pills I had already filled, I had accidentally given him 2 of a pill he’s only supposed to have once a day! The bakery is always fresh, and the people are always quick to come over when you come to the counter. The deli is great, too. Very friendly and helpful. Once I couldn’t remember what kind of roast beef I had ordered(and loved) in the past, so the person let me try EVERY kind of roast beef they have! There’s lots! The people in produce know me personally. I wish they had more organic foods, but they’re adding more every day. The lady who does the sushi in the seafood department is an artist. She makes the best sushi rolls, and every time you look into the sushi shelf, she comes over to try to help you if you don’t know what you want. The guys behind the counter are the same. Knowledgable and very helpful. The guys in the meat department always break packages for me if I want it, and the food is always good and fresh. All of the people throughout the store are always willing to go that extra mile. Honestly, I’d say they fall all over themselves to make your experience great. I can’t say enough good things about them.

I’ve always loved the Publix bakery and deli so it was an easy choice to use them for my recent wedding. I made an online order for 3 decadent cakes(we did a dessert table and it was awesome!), brownies, and several appetizers. Originally, I put the pick up time at noon, but called to have it pushed back to 8am. Unfortunately, the man I spoke with failed to tell the staff of this change so when I got there it was not all ready. Ruined right? Not at Publix! The manager had it delivered to our wedding venue free of charge! Everyone loved all the flavors and it was all a big hit. I should also mention that I probably should have spoken with a manager when I wanted to make the time change, I don’t think they are completely to blame. Definitely recommend using Publix for any wedding with 150 or less people, bakeries are crazy expensive and you don’t get the variety.

Ok. I’m from the north so before moving to Florida my grocery shopping experiences were pure hell. The staff at this place is SO nice. They ask me if I need help whenever they see me wandering around looking lost(still getting used to their layout) and they bring my groceries to my car for free. The deli meat is absolutely amazing and the triple play that they offer is a great deal. Love this place.

Who doesn’t know about the wonders of Publix? The BOGO deals, the subs(!!), the assortment of deli and bakery goods that will require extra gym sessions to burn off. It’s the southern grocery that other groceries aspire to be. This Publix, right off 419 in Oviedo is the one right in my backyard. Literally. For full on grocery trips or quick stops, this is it. Once you get over that Aldi and Winn Dixie have cheaper produce and meat, you have to appreciate that this store’s cleanliness and organization just can’t be beat. For an OCD gal like me, shopping in the aforementioned stores sends my head spinning.(Winn Dixie’s frozen foods section is a poor man’s game of Tetris.) I’ve never had to wander long to find an associate to help me out with what I’m looking for and even the baggers seem to be enjoying their job. Things that could be improved upon: 1. Cart Corrals: Can it really cost that much money to put a few in? I’m sure management must get a ton of claims! 2. Dairy Free Options: I’m allergic to casein and whey. Kudos on your wide variety of almond and soy milks, but your one brand of soy yogurt and coconut milk ice cream(ick!) leaves me wanting a little more. I’d rather shop here than Whole Paycheck. 3. Seafood Selection: I remember when Publix was the place to get your fish. This could have been because I had just flown the nest and didn’t know any better, but I feel like your selection is poor. Where are the swordfish steaks and thick filets? Overall, I will keep making Publix my number one shopping stop. It’s clean, has friendly employees and sometimes you just need a Publix sub with that Deli lemonade.

They’re expensive. They carry poor quality produce and limited cuts of meat. They’re fine if you HAVE to drop in for something midweek, but I’m done doing my regular grocery shopping there.

This location has some rude employees working at the pharmacy. Specifically the tall guy at the pharmacy. Some of the women that work there are also like him, but I can’t remember which. A few are good. The managers should train them to be nicer and not be such jerks. People that are using that service are sick and shouldn’t have to deal with rude people when they are sick. The bakery employees for the most part are very good. So that evens it out at this location. Now we all know what most people think about Publix, they love them. Sure they love them look at their competion awful Winn Dixie, the bankrupt Albersons and the far away Walmart. With that kind of competion of course people are going to love them. Heck their stores don’t physically stink like Winn Dixie, and Albertsons. In Florida that’s a big plus since this state seems to have absolutely no competion, and no Aldi and Sweatpea aren’t competion. Remember the crown jewel of grocers we had that was Piggly Wiggly? Yeah that’s what I am talking about here. The only time we try to shop at Publix is when they have buy one get one free. Because if you don’t during that time you are drastically over paying for food in those stores. Bread items are extremely over priced there. Their produce is also expensive. A sub in Publix should be a low cost alternative to local sub shops. Almost a lost leader, not be more expensive then other shops. They used to be a good value, what happened to that? Everyday prices are awful at Publix, and I don’t believe for a minute they operate on low margins. They are the cleanest grocery in town, but thats about it. The three star review is basically for all Publix I have been in. They are average to me, just because the competion sucks does not automatically grant them a higher star rating. Had to pick up a prescription, it was for OxyCondin and could not buy it there. They say they can’t fill that type of drug. You know I wasted my time trying Publix and walgreens who could also not fill it. Decided to make the trip to the Walgreens on aloma that had it. It is probably some stupid law that the state came up with. Tired of irresponsible people causing legit people problems. My family member was in pain and this was ridiculous. I am starting to think about going to the other location for everything because who knows what else they can’t fill at this location. Tired of not getting full service at these locations. Tip: they have WIFI
