Blackbird Bakery & Eatery

This bakery is a MUST visit! The ladies who own this place are 3 daughters and their mom and are awesome at what they do! Our daughter’s wedding was this weekend, and we already had pies ordered from our caterer, but a week before the wedding, after enjoying a delicious cup of French pressed coffee and a yummy scone and another scrumptious cookie at the Blackbird Bakery we approached Sarah, one of the bakers, could she possibly provide 300 cookies and 300 mini cupcakes and a few dozen bagels for the occasion, and the morning after??? Short notice yes. They had several other commitments, weddings and festivals, but they were able to fit us in!!! The cookies, chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin and a classic buttery sugar cookie, were simply decadent and turned myself and my guests into cookie monsters! The cupcakes were beautifully presented and delish!!! The bagels were light and generously topped with oats, poppy seeds, sesame seeds, «everything», and some sweeter variety I didn’t sample because I had a few of their leftover cookies for breakfast, too!!! Thank you girls! Keep up the great work! Owego is lucky to have you! Not to mention the adorable décor and the great tribute to the classic rock of the 60s and 70s with album covers from this era decorating all the walls and even the bathroom! You rock, ladies!
