Friendly staff food is great. Have only been to their dinner but I have only heard rave reviews about their breakfast… I live about 45 minutes away but make the trip there often about 3 or 4 times a month.

Great diner in a little plaza that makes it seem a little more rundown. Old feel with some torn seats, but a nice selection of omelets and some less traditional options for breakfast and lunch and always a few specials.

We really lucked out finding this place. It was 2 minutes from our hotel. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. The dining room was full of locals. We had the basics — eggs, sausage and home fries/toast. Everything was piping hot and cooked just right. Light — not too much oil. The coffee was surprisingly great. Apparently it is a local brand. Can’t say enough about the attentive, cheerful and hospitable service. This was just a stop on our way home from Canada. Highly recommended!

We were looking for a place off the highway on our drive back to Minnesota and as I’m gluten sensitive, I wasn’t so sure I would find much anywhere worth a meal. We stopped here and right away the owner said that her friend has celiac and she can make almost anything gluten free! Their tuna salad was amazing on field greens and their fries were also good. Breakfast also served and plenty for everyone to choose from, including kids! Very friendly and bought some jam also!

Driving on I86 in upstate NY we were having trouble finding a non-chain breakfast place, unlike PA where the freeway signs frequently list such small places. After an hour we gave up and opted for an Arby’s when we noticed this little place. It really is little. But dont be fooled by the dinky appearance. The breakfast is fannnntastic. Especially their selection of omelets — imaginative and tasty fillings. And the omelet cooked perfectly: not bulkily thick and pulpy like most American joints nor too thin. The stir fried veggies in the veggie omelet were divine. The other stuff, standard breakfast items like Bacon, pancakes, scrambled eggs etc were great too. The Bacon was so perfect, we ordered extra sides of it. Great coffee too, even the cappuccino which we didn’t expect to be that good at such a remote rural location. Finally the service, which was delightful. The kind of warm hospitality you expect from rural folks, not the mandatory fake smile politeness of Denny’s or ihop. The waitress quickly guessed that my ma in law was hardcore vegetarian, not even eggs, and was very helpful in Tryin to figure out what we should order for her. And despite being so small, cosy, family owned and cheap, they accept credit cards! A great place to eat at if you are in the area.

The Blue Collar Café is my favorite place for breakfast. I haven’t been there for lunch so I can’t comment on that. Their portions are large and their prices are more than fair. They have a number of unusual omelets. They generally cook their homefries to order, which I like. I have had home fries at other places that tasted like they had sat on the back of the grill for hours. The only down side I see is that the place is kind of small but quite a few breakfast/lunch diners are. It’s a family run business and everyone is nice. Try them out!
