This shelter is so unusual is so many ways… I consider it more of a «rescue» because these people do everything possible to save these animals and try to place them in homes so that they can go on to have a better life than what they have come from… The compassion is truly inspiring!!! I cannot say enough for tis shelter and everyone involved with it… The positive energy is totally contagious. I would highly recommend this place as a place to adopt a new dog/​cat for your family and feel confident that you are getting a great fit for your family!!! I would love to give them TEN stars!!!

A better late than never review!
I can’t say enough great things about Ashley and Marisa. They were so helpful with me when I adopted my dog, Roscoe, from them a little over 1 year ago. They both went above and beyond all my expectations. They are truly dedicated to their job.
I live in Chicago and I was able to set up transportation via a few dog rescue groups. One of which a couple friends of mine are part of. Northern Illinois Samoyed Assistance. The team work between the volunteers, the DACC staff and various canine rescues is amazing.
Thanks to all the the hard working staff here that are serious about saving animals.
