Owensboro Area Museum of Science & History

Great place to bring the family. It’s not the newest or most technically advanced place, but it is a perfect place for the family to spend a couple hours at every once in a while.

Last year year when my grandchildren visited, they loved this museum. We stayed for hours & they found many interactive items to hold their interest. Today we paid & were handed 3 passes to return in the future. Then they pointed out a sign that explained the power was out in the hallway to the right. No one explained the power was out to 95% of the interactive displays. The only area still operational was the stock car exhibit & the playground area on the 2^nd floor. The carpet in that area was filthy. We left after half an hour with 2 very disappointed boys. They should have shut the doors until the electrical work could be done instead of continuing to charge. If you just want a playground, there is a nice one a block from the museum (with no admission fee).
