Time Warner Cable

I am not a customer with Time Warner, my parents are. They live in Owensboro half of the year & Florida the rest. I live in Nashville & use U-​Verse. While in Florida, my parents called Time Warner to have their cable & internet put on seasonal/​vacation. Time Warner told them they needed to turn in the modem, even though last august they were able to turn it to seasonal without turning in the modem.
I drove from Nashville to Owensboro on a Saturday to turn in the modem. I looked on the website & it said the location was open from 8:30am-12:30pm on Saturdays. I arrived at 11:45am and was greeted with a «CLOSED» sign on the door & a hours sign that said «CLOSED Sat & Sun.»
I had to cram the modem in a drop box that was literally overflowing with DVR boxes. One was still in the drop tray, I could’ve taken it with me. It’s obvious that they don’t check the drop box much. I drove all that way & rushed for nothing. I wanted to get a person so I could get a drop off receipt. Time Warner needs to get their act together.

I don’t know why I keep paying for Time Warner Internet. Signal strength is horrible, and internet connection is intermittent. It was that way in Henderson, Hartford, and now Owensboro. 3 cities, 3 strikes. Time Warner apparently isn’t the internet to have anywhere.
