Huddle House

There is no Huddle House in Owenton, KY. From the posted address of Flemingsburg Road I’m guessing this must actually be a restaurant in Owensville, not Owenton.

I was delighted at the breakfasts here. I haven’t tried anything else. But the Smothered Southern Breakfast is guaranteed to fill you up. Plus they serve it whenever they are open – none of this crap about no breakfast after 10:30 am. The only people who want these huge breakfasts are people who work really hard for a living, who like them around 6 am, or else students, stoners, and steatopygian tourists, of which latter group I am a proud member. AWESOME sausage gravy! Grits. Hash browns to which you can add jalapenos and mushrooms. Great biscuits. Perfectly cooked over-​easy eggs. And all of it smothered with gravy and cheese. Plus, you can sit at the counter and watch them make every single thing. No surprises here! And no disappointments either! Guy Fieri needs to check this place out!
