Capitol Bowl

Very upset with the female owner for how she acted during my son’s group field trip to her bowling alley. One of the kids in my lane accidentally spilled a small drink. As soon as I asked for a rag to clean it up myself she got grumpy & rude. Saying, «of course they spilled it. I’ll do it.» Came down to the lane to clean it up and barked at the boys about staying out of her way. While cleaning it up I had a question about resetting one of the players so he had bumpers on his turn. She grumbled about how «he was too old to have bumpers and she was NOT going to set up the bumpers for him.» I mentioned the fact that these kids NEVER bowl and it’s not like they’re on a league, it’s just fun. Scame over and proceeded to put her hands on my shoulders to move me out of the way and asked if «of course everyone wants bumpers?» I told her «no, the two adults are just fine without them, thank-​you.» I asked to speak to her manager and she said, «I’m the owner.» I let her know that I will be talking to our school about NOT coming back again. Mind you we’ve been coming here for years. Too bad she can’t treat people with respect and kindness. We were not rude to her and felt bad that the drink spilled… but it happens with kids. I have had a bad experience with them before and personally will never plan group parties with them ever.
