Powerhouse Gym

The gym is OK. The price is reasonable. The staff isn’t very knowledgeable. I’ve asked questions about upgrading some equipment and they say they will «ask the manager» and then you don’t hear anything back. I’m not sure why patrons have to pay a maintenance fee when nothing that I have seen has been upgraded.

Being in the fitness industry out west, I can say that when I come home to visit family in Owosso this is a great treat to have access to for working out. This facility has top of the line equipment, reasonable guest fees, and provides a very energetic atmosphere. I highly recommend this facility to train at.

I was a member for a year and my experience was awful. They are a new business but the things I experience should not happen in any business. 4 out on my 12 months they took 68 dollars out my account instead of 29. The staff is always «busy» talking on the phone with inappropriate language or just standing around talking to other employees paying no attention to customers at the front desk. If you tried interrupting the employees for service you just get treated even worse and make you feel like you’re wasting their time.
I couldn’t wait for my membership to end, when it came to my last month I submitted the letter to cancel my membership explaining why. The next month after my membership was supposed to be over they took $ 29 out of my account again. I called and the customer service was horrible, it was all my fault and they said I had never submitted the letter. The manager called me back apologizing and said the money would be deposited back into my account soon and its been 2 months later and still it has not been deposited.
Save the hassle and go to another local gym.
