Cici’s Pizza

This is a good Cici’s, and it’s now one of the only Cici’s left in about a 200-​mile radius. That’s a shame because Cici’s food is surprisingly high quality.
The pizzas are good. They’ll make whatever you want and bring it to your table, which is nice. The soup is even good. The garlic bread is divine. There’s marinara on the bar you can use for dipping. The brownies and cinnamon rolls are tops. And the drinks are unlimited.
The relatively loud game machines are just part of the experience. It’s vaguely reminiscent of a Showbiz Pizza Place from back in the day. And «there’s no limit to what you can win!!!» But if you don’t sit in the back you can’t hear the machines. The TVs are normally tuned to sports and cartoons.
If you don’t dig it, steer clear and let me monopolize the buffet.

I had the unfortunate opportunity to eat at Cici’s Pizza tonight. It’s buffet style pizza and desert. I wish it lived up to the hype from my friends. The first thing I noticed was the soggy breadsticks. The pizza is nothing special either. The place is packed with game machines that constantly yell at you about how it’s «your turn to win». Add to that two tvs on different stations and music playing and you have a very loud and annoying place to eat.
Normally I would just say it’s not my kind of place and give it 3 or 4 stars, but something happened tonight where I got to see how they handle a crisis. We noticed a boy that kept running back and forth to the game room, and after eating my niece went to the game room to buy something and came running out to tell my sister about what was in there. Apparently the boy couldn’t hold it and decided to relieve his bowels in the middle of the floor.
I went and pulled the guy up front that greeted us away from the other customers and told him what happened. This is where things went wrong in my opinion. He went back and looked at it, and then got a paper towel to pick it up and then a guy with a mop went to work on it. First off, I didn’t notice either of them wearing gloves. They didn’t spray any bathroom cleaner (the same kind you use in a public bathroom made to kill the nasty stuff) or deodorizer. Even if you think it’s overkill, you should make a good show about how clean it’s going to be when customers are watching you clean a pile of feces in a restaurant. A guy with a dirty mop doesn’t make me think «clean». It makes me think they are lazy about cleanliness.
I also noticed they didn’t get it all up and had to point it out to the worker. That’s pretty shameful.

I am a fan because where else can you take a toddler for a quick bite of pizza!
We love the buffet style quick dining.
They welcome requests for whatever pizza you would like. When we have tried this a few times in the past, but can never get the pizza makers’ attention… they always seem busy making pizzas. We asked the cashier at the door the last time and she informed us that she doesn’t take requests so we need to get their attention.
The weekend evenings are super busy and usually crowded.
