In 2008 my wonderful longhair Dachshund had a disk rupture. It was the darkest day of my life. He had emergency surgery done and his prognosis was not good. We began searching for options for a handicapped pet that was paralyzed. There were several other options from other sellers on building your own, or purchasing one online but none matched the quality, adjustability, or value for the price. We decided on K-​9 Cart because of their knowledge of handicapped animals, their experience and price. They explained to us how to measure our dog, we sent the measurements in. We received our cart very quickly. We took pictures of all angles so they could see how it fit. They promptly advised us on some adjustments to make it fit our baby better. Our baby took to the cart right away. We saw his spark and spunk with his new found freedom. It is coming on SIX YEARS since we got his cart and it still looks new (just a little wear on the wheels). He has been to the beach on many occasions and it is wonderful! I can not tell you how much it has meant to us to give our baby the freedom to explore and regain his independence. Thank you k-​9 cart!

I don’t understand the negative review of this company. I purchased a second chair from them recently. They are knowledgable and very thorough and they spend the time with you on the phone (I am in Canada) to make sure all the measurements etc. are correct. I had to have a replacement part for the old cart I had purchased several years ago and they were very quick to get the part made and send it to me.
The new cart is amazing. My little girl absolutely loves it. She was moving in it before I could tighten down the connections and she hasn’t stopped since. We go to the parks and she loves running down the bike paths and greeting everyone and every dog. This cart has given her freedom and quality of life.
I had looked at several other cart makers before I purchased this one from K-​9 and this company surpassed the others in quality of product and design.

I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Parks and his team at K-​9 Cart East! I ordered a quad cart for my 3 legged Great Dane «Bella». She was a big girl and since I live in NJ, I decided to do the final fitting down in their Maryland facility. They were all so nice and worked so hard to make sure the cart would support my Bella. They all went the extra mile to make sure Bella was comfortable in her new cart. I have a soft spot for handicapped dogs and a I would definitely use their services again for the next fur baby that needs help.

EDIT: I am currently in communication with the owner about my experience. He is committed to getting to the bottom of this. I bumped them from 1 star to 3 stars. If you experience anything less than 5 star service, I recommend reaching out to the owner ASAP.
This company is more concerned with $$$$$ than helping your disabled dog.
They will even go as far as going after you for «copy righted» material (wheelchair pictures) people post in dog health forums.
They won’t let you sell or give the wheelchair YOU bought to another needy dog unless it is through their company, at least not when they catch wind of it (they have plenty of time to search online in different cities for these things)
Disappointed.
Shop other dog wheelchair companies, there are better wheelchairs for less money out there. I found the chair to be cheap and easily falls apart, especially for larger dogs.
