One of Oxford’s gems. I love my co-op as it has brought a lot of products you can fond no where else in town, supports a lot of local farmers(I am one of them) and artisans by buying their products and paying a fair price. They know their products, are friendly and personable and are willing to bend over backwards to make you shopping experience wonderful. I always feel like I have come home when I go to MOON Co-op

This is a great all natural grocery store. Some things are reasonable priced while other things I just won’t buy because I don’t want to pay the price. This is very very high quality food. It is local and organic. They have a wide selection of groceries and a deli. You really can’t go wrong with going there if this is the quality you’re looking for.

This is a nice little co-op. Prices are a little high… if you are doing a lot of organic shopping consider becoming a member. They also have staples with special tags that sold near cost. I mainly go there for bulk food bins. I can buy grains and popcorn by the pound at a reasonable cost. Also Kroger is a terrible terrible grocer.

This place is amazing. They’re small, but everything they have is of the best quality. You feel good buying things there, and the food tastes whole and amazing. Not to mention their café, were the chef comes up with a new way to cook different recipes every day! I’m cheap, that’s for sure, but it’s one of the best places I’ve been to in Oxford. Not to mention the manager made a point to personally speak to me and every person that came in. They’re friendly, they’re clean, they’re green. I love it. :)

OK, if you know my reviews, you know I RARELY dole out 5 stars. But when I do, there is a reason. And in this case, there is a VERY good reason. Moon Co-Op is the best addition to the Oxford food, social, and health scene since I was banished to this midwestern wasteland six years ago. My measure for co-ops is Wheatsville in Austin, TX, probably the bestest co-op ever.(Austin is home to another onetime co-op and Wheatsville corporate alternative, Whole Foods). I also shop the co-ops whenever and wherever I can. Yes, this one is on the smaller side and doesn’t have a full-scale deli and all the trimmings, but it is DARNGOOD and GETTINGBETTEREVERYDAY. The deli has made great strides, and now has hot and cold sandwiches. In grocery, find local meats, dairy, veggies, and healthy organic everything. Awesome BULK section, daily homemade soups, and a BIG selection of COMPETITIVELYPRICED«necessities» for daily life(eggs, soap, etc). Go ahead and get cancer or lord knows what from GMO’d, fertilizer-saturated, penicillin-drenched foods. Your choice. For students and parents: THISISNOTKROGER. It is not meant to be. It is much better. Go local, support community. Try something new. You’ll be glad you did. MOM&DAD: Buy your college-bound darling a membership. They’ll thank you. For locals: THISISNOTKROGER. It is not meant to be It is much better. Go local, support community. It can be made affordable. This is one of the only things that makes Oxford somewhat livable for many of us.

This is a little gem in Oxford. Yes, they have the basics and they are more expensive than Krogers, but they have stuff you cannot even find online with the added bonus of instant gratification. If you don’t believe me, try finding good organic cornmeal for polenta on Amazon. I love their DELICIOUS shaved coconut and the organic cranberries coated in chocolate. The store also sells lots of goodies from local producers, so you don’t have to stress about making it to the market on Saturday morning. I personally mostly shop in their bulk section which offers great value and great quality. I have never tried their deli section. Their supplements and beauty section is pretty basic, but again they have to compete with Kroger prices on those. If you are a student on a budget, that is probably not the place for you. I am very happy we have Moon in town.

If you like spending way too much money on organic foods, than this is the place for you! I only went here to check out their handmade sandwiches which I was told were really tasty. Without looking at the price, I purchased one. Granted it was delicious, but was $ 8. I won’t be going back, but mainly because I’m not interested in organic. You can’t find regular grocery items here, basically all organic/tofu/vegan stuff.

Moon Co-Op is a very small organic market that opened up next to Little Caesars. Other than a few things at Kroger, Oxford doesn’t have much in terms of organic markets. I almost didn’t find this place: if I wasn’t curious after picking up the cheap pizza at Little Caesars, I would have never found this place tucked in an alleyway. They have the basics: hormone-free meats and daily products, veggies without preservatives, and they even have candles and other non-food products here. I felt like their selection wasn’t that large, and they only had a few of every item. However, a store of this type was badly needed in town.
