When it comes to college baseball, Swayze field is at the top. What an atmosphere and experience. First off, the facilities themselves are amazing, clean, new, spacious, the list goes on and on. They have an amazing video board which shows replays, stats, etc that rivals MLB video boards. There’s not a bad seat in the house. If you sit in one of the designated seats you will have a great view. Right field is the student section and you won’t find a more rowdy fun student section in college baseball. If you get to witness or be apart of a beer shower, you are experiencing greatness. Left field is for families and fans. So many sweet kids running around. They have a great playground, grills, picnic tables, everything you’d need for your family to enjoy. They have a solo cup race in between innings which is a crowd favorite. The field is green, surrounded by green lush trees, and right in the heart of the Olé Miss campus. There’s a reason why Olé Miss continues to host NCAA sectional after sectional. This is a great college baseball stadium. Hotty toddy, let’s go rebels!

Absolutely beautiful place to see a game. Bottomless drink for $ 6 is a deal, restrooms are clean and they have Blue Bell mint chocolate chip ice cream! But again what a beautiful setting for a baseball game, the hills of Northern Mississippi.

Very nice college baseball stadium. Pretty good atmosphere, but the home crowd was almost entirely in the outfield. The announced crowd was 9,330, which was absolutely preposterous. There might have been 500 people in the stands(this is for a February 22 game against Rhode Island) with another 1,000 or so in the outfield partying it up. Give or take a couple hundred either way. It was very cold, so I don’t blame folks for not showing or for leaving early, but still, 9,300 was ridiculous. My brother and I joked that if there were 9,300 at the baseball game, then there were 50,000 at the basketball game the next day(in a stadium that seats about 12,000). I don’t know why teams do this. The Round Rock Express makes the same ridiculous announcements, saying there’s 5,000 people when there’s maybe 500. It just looks stupid. That said, it was a really nice stadium, updated in 2009 or so, with a fun crowd(what there was of it) and a good team on the field. Plus it’s easy to walk to from anywhere nearby. The students in the outfield have a great time hollaring and writing messages to the players on warm-up balls. We’ll hang with them next time.
