It’s unfortunate that this Wal-​Mart is one of the only large retailers in this area, because this is a terrible place to shop. It’s staff is nasty and disrespectful; a manager just gave my friends, all in their mid-​30s, a hard time for buying beer, because he was convinced we were local campers. When we tried to explain that we’re not kids and show him our IDs, the manager said, «Do you want to keep acting like a wise guy?» I haven’t been talked to that way since high school, and wouldn’t ever expect it in an adult professional setting, but that’s the mode of operation for managers at this Wal-​Mart. I’m done here.
