do not go here without first checking with your insurance network that they are an authorized provider!!!
that means tricare!!! you will receive a bill!!!
they will tell you that you are covered, but the caveat is they are not in network. so without an authorization, you will receive a bill. it is deceitful and low class, just like the scam of an office they run.
do yourself a favor and stay away.

Been going here since… I don’t know, since it opened way back when. And with that, I’ve only had one bad experience, which, if it was my first time visit. It would have been my last. Dr. Haakonsen was busy texting than doing an eye exam, she had me do that typical letter reading exam and she was busy texting. She did not pay attention or even do a half-​assed exam, it was ridiculous. She was more involved with her phone than anything. If I get that doctor again, I’ll leave and find a new optometrist.

Such an awesome place. Great service and very friendly and knowledgeable doctor. Takes her time to explain everything and answers all questions without rushing you. I was seen by Dr. Le. The wait time was very short. Will definitely recommend.

At A Street Optometric Center an optometrist that has been there for over 1−½ years is the new principle optometrist. Dr. Vi Le who came to the USA at age 2 from Vietnam and grew up in Moorpark. She graduated with honors from the Southern California College of Optometry.
My second time at A Street Optometric Center, I saw Dr. Le and had the best eye exam ever. She speaks Vietnamese and Spanish as second languages. As always, the whole office staff was outstanding. They take lots of insurance plans and even Medi-​Cal.
Go, you will not be disappointed.

Outstanding professionall eye care with top doctors and staff. Practice has been my family eye care place for over 3 generations. Located just across the street from the Oxnard main post ofice on the corner of 4th and A street. Martha, the manager, knows everybody in Oxnard by first name and when my famiy come in we feel at home. Dr. Decuir does an amazing job on our eyes and is a master at fitting contact lenses.
A Street Optometric Center is the place to go for all your eye problems.
