American One Plumbing

This business is bad news. Do not let them on your property. They advertise a cheap price, but will make you think there are other problems and try to do more than you want them to, then demand that you pay them or they won’t leave. They scared the heck out of our renters, and they were afraid to not pay them. Their license is suspended, so do not use them. It was an emergency of course, and our regular plumber was tied up, so these guys rushed out, broke a piece of the toilet and then started doing very shoddy work before we called a halt. Our regular plumber was aghast at the bad work they had done. Do not give them a credit card number. We had to demand a written receipt for the work. My husband called them for a simple ream out, and I did not check Unilocal first. Never again!

If you hire this guy, he doesn’t have a license to do business so therefore he doesn’t have insurance to cover for the work he’s doing. His license hasn’t been updated since September of 2013. Do not hire Al Solano to work for you. He lies and is verbally abusive.

I never actually got around to using them, and I never will. I called them before I found the reviews on here and they were already on their way when I saw the negative comments. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt before canceling. Every negative comment about this company came true plus two others. While on the phone with the so called «owner» I asked for there CA contractors license number. His comment was «why? Who wants to know?» Thank god the contractor on his way to my house for an estimate had to cancel. The topper is that I received a phone call at 10:15 pm from a random Oxnard number that I obviously let go to voicemail. Al, «the owner» left a message trying to get my business and hung up mid sentence. Hahaha try somewhere else

Here is our experience. These guys are a nightmare. They arrived late, did not have the equipment or parts necessary to do the job on arrival then left on our dime. They then, overcharged and hassled us endlessly for billing that was not warranted.
The supervisor, Al, is unprofessional, promising the world and exaggerating the problem. He brought in people without prior approval and then charged for them. He made inconsistent demands on an endless series of phone and text messages. His text messages were barely decipherable and unprofessional. His voice mails were offensive and inappropriate.
In short we are sorry we ever picked this company from the phone book to work on our home.
