So deserted and breathtaking during off season! It is a perfect spot for engagement pictures or any other kind of photography(when it is not too windy). Plenty of parking, and all this wild vastness and freedom! Awesome feeling.

This review is for the water quality only. The beach itself is quite beautiful, soft sand and rarely crowded. The waves can be really fun too, but be careful of the water I’ve gotten sick surfing at and around Oxnard Shores more than once. Sometimes it’s discolored and even has a pungent smell like sewer water. It’s the worst after it rains of course, but even with good weather the water can be really nasty.

Great beach to catch a beautiful SoCal sunset-Especially if clouds are involved! :) Still a hidden gem as it’s nice and quiet. Sea glass, sea shells and sand dollars can be found if you take time to simply stroll the beach. Perfect place to end a busy stressful day and unwind… I like to fish at this beach, too. Catch the sunrise or sunset — oh and fish! Sand Bar Perch mostly, but an occasional Walleye Perch, Jack Smelt and Halibut(Watch your catch limit and size requirements!) Fish and Game do make an appearance and check for licenses, limits and such, so be up to date on it! Dog owners, for the most part, are responsible for their ‘droppings’, but every now and then… Ugh I expect that anywhere, tho, so be aware for ‘em!
