I recently underwent major orthopedic foot surgery. I had an excellent experience with Dr. Olson and his staff. The fact that Dr. Olson had worked with athletes previously made me very confident going forward with the surgery. I received excellent postoperative follow up. I am very happy with my surgical care and the outcome. As a physician I greatly appreciated Dr. Olson’s personalized approach to my overall consultation, surgery, and follow up. Dr. Olson’s front office and nursing staff were exceptional! They were kind, professional, caring and provided complete support during the recent in office removal of my implanted support device following my surgery. Professional, caring and exceptionally attentive surgical care. Highly recommended.

I have had 5 surgeries with Dr. Olson, and there is nobody else i would trust with my feet!!! Dr. Olson is more than I could have hoped for in a doctor. He is very knowledgeable and listened to everything I had to tell him about my condition before he made a set plan in order to solve my problem. He is outgoing and made me feel very comfortable, he took time whenever I called his office with questions and made me feel at ease. His office staff are so helpful. From the minute I walked into his office, I could tell I was in good hands. His staff was friendly, happy, and helpful, and they always have been. The wait time to see him is always very minimal. I highly recommend him. For the first time since I was a child, i have zero foot pain. THANKYOU, DR. OLSON!!!

Have to echo the other review posted. I came here two years ago for a plantar fasciitis issue. Same issue as today, Dr. Olson took more than 30 minutes to see me even though I was early for the appointment. I could forgive the décor, bizarre way in which Dr. Olson interacts with his patients and ghetto location. What I can’t forgive is the lack of professionalism, mediocre follow through and just slacker mentality.

Dr. Olson is one of the very best podiatrists in Southern California. He treated my daughter’s flat feet which were contributing to creating major shin splints(which was greatly affecting her in soccer and track)!. He custom made her orthotics to support the arch and alleviate pressure on the shins. As a teenager– she loved his funny sense of humor and got a kick out of his wild Ed Hardy t-shirts he often wears. I appreciated his intelligence in explaining how he was correcting her problem and the added time he spent inquiring about her studies. He took an interest in her academic goals and explained how education was of the greatest value. He told her the story of his upbringing– low-income family; worked and paid his own tuition to go to college… The hard work and sacrifice of 11yrs of school. Becoming a medical doctor and how that changed his family’s life was because of education, hard work, and not willing to give up. —thank you, Dr. Olson… for fixing my daughters shin splints AND giving her a wonderful life lesson. We love your office and all your girls working with you!

Now that I no longer live in the area, I have to review this place… It’s so. sketchy. First thing you’ll notice: pin-up-esque photos of a chick in running clothes, circa 1980, on the office walls. That’s his daughter. Second thing you’ll notice: The guy’s probably 70+ years old, yet he’s in Ed Hardy, «cool» sneakers, and a giant gold watch. Third thing: You’ll be regaled with story after story about his daughter’s athletic prowess — 25+ years ago. The stories will be peppered with mention of «them black girls», who were apparently really fast runners. I am NOT kidding — this is a direct quote. Fourth thing: Whatever this guy decides to do for you will be thoroughly unexplained. He gave me a cortisone shot with zero explanation, then an Rx for pain-relieving gel which did F all. I still have a giant tube of it, if anyone wants it. The funniest thing was, after they called to remind me I needed to schedule a follow-up appointment(NOWAYINHELL!!!), the receptionist on the line thought she had disconnected and started talking to her coworkers. About 30 seconds in, it’s «What the f*** is this? What the f*** did you do that for??», as she’s talking to the other PROFESSIONALSINTHEOFFICE. RUN. RUNFARANDFAST.
