Ely’s Jr’s Pumping

There are not enough stars here for me to give proper credit to this company, Ely Jr’s Pumping, to include both the owner, Ely and his amazingly competent, and wonderful friendly staff.
Ely and co. basically saved my septic system here in Malibu, CA and the sale of my house with Ely’s expertise, his knowledge and his generosity in dealing with me and my unique situation. He personally took my phone calls to answer concerns, and his staff of both men and women treated me like a truly valued client. Vivienne, Monique, Laura, Peter, Alex, Albert are all part of the Ely, Jr. Team and boy, what a team. Call this company for all your pumping/​septic/​permit/​license needs and know you will be getting the best service around!

We called Ely in a panic last week as our septic tank was backing up. We are having family stay with us for Christmas and needed the system serviced ASAP. Betty in the office explained that they didn’t have a pumping appointment available until after Christmas, but she would make sure Ely stopped by to inspect our system. Although we have used Ely for many years, I called other pumping companies to see if we could get someone out sooner… no luck. They were all booked until after New Years. Ely came yesterday and, after seeing the panic on my wife’s face called his office to see if they could get someone out right away. Their truck arrived a few hours later and our system was pumped. Thank you to Ely and his great staff for saving our holiday!!!

Do not leave a message on their emergency line. They never called me back.

Really unacceptable. If you are considering using them, keep looking.
I ended up having to pay them a bunch of money and still hire someone else to to the inspection.
Three times they promised to show up. Three times I pumped my septic tank and paid someone to wait for them at the scheduled time. Three times they didn’t show and didn’t even have the courtesy or organization to at lease call and let me know. Instead they showed up randomly days later unannounced and I had to scramble to get someone there to help them. Predictably, each time they said there was now too much water in my tank and we needed to schedule another time.
Worse, once they did come I couldn’t get answers to my questions. I keep getting one-​sentence answers from their secretary. I’ve never heard a single word directly from someone who has seen my tank and can give me the answer I need. It’s a game of twenty questions with these guys.

Ely and his entire crew and staff were on time, professional and knowledgeable. Betty in the office is great and very helpful. His price was very competitive with the other bids we received. We would recommend him and his company to anyone.
