The lady who worked there was very friendly. It’s not a huge store, but they have a decent candy selection. My only big complaint was the music. Please stop playing stuff where foul language has to be bleeped out. And turn the volume down a bit, please. My ears were practically bleeding by the time I left. *Editing to say that if your milk chocolate covered pretzels are white, they’re OLD. C’mon, It’s Sugar. You guys should now better, especially for what you charge.

Unbelievably rude worker and chocolate candy is really not very good quality. Would recommend See’s for chocolate and Target for everything else!

Store layout was fun and well thought out. Really enjoyed the creative larger candy novelties and humor. Unfortunately, the employee single handedly made our experience unpleasant. It’s like she went out of her way to be rather distant and borderline rude. We were the only ones in the store and even attempted to start multiple conversations with her. Of which she just walked away from us. She did not care to give us information on cool candy we’ve never even seen. No greet, no «thank you» or good bye. Unsure how a new store can have a fun and exciting atmosphere with a staff member making it so we won’t return.

I would have given It’s Sugar 5 stars for its great selection of candy but the music was so loud that my kids and I could not talk over the noise. We ended up buying much less than we would have to take to the cinema. We were the only people in the store. If the music had been more in the background then in-your-face more people would be buying.

So happy to have a store closer than Universal City Walk now! It is on the smaller side, but still has a great variety of products and the fun atmosphere one expects. Love it :)

Do not shop here, the staff is very rude to customers. Does not deserve your business!

I love candy and this place is candy heaven! There’s a section in the store that has vintage candy from the 50s, 70s, 80s and 90s. All over the store you can buy a gigantic size nerds, kit Kats, air heads, rice krispys each for $ 12.99! This place also sells stuff like cleaner than shit hand sanitizers, note pads with funny sayings, star wars mugs, hello Kitty candy. It has candy memorabilia from Harry Potter, minions, Simpson’s and more. Great place to pick up a bag of candy corn, jaw breakers, runts, chocolate covered pretzels or sour patch kids all in one bag to satisfy your sugar fix while shopping at the collection!

It’s nice to see place finally filling up the collection even though in a slow pace. Admittedly surprised that a candy store opened in Oxnard but change is always welcome, especially in this side of town. Being that they had just opened everything is new, in order and clean. Hopefully it stays that way in the months to come having to see only 1 person manning the whole store. Kids are cute but I don’t want their grubby hands all over the candy I’m about to eat. The candies are situated almost sunflower style in acrylic bowls. They easily tip over so be careful. They had a lot of choices ranging from gummies, sour gummies, rock candies, chocolate covered pretzel, novelty candies and English and Asian imports(—a little warning it’s a little pricey, their pocky sticks are $ 3.99 a pop) It’s $ 3.24 /half pound. A bit cheaper than your average movie house candy(the movies’ conveniently across the street) and you get to pick and choose a variety of sweets.

Great place to pick up candy before the movie or just take home and enjoy it. If you’re looking for a huge box of Sour Patch kids they will have it. Glad this place is now in Oxnard.
