Delicious! The tacos were great! Loved the salsa. Can’t wait to go back.

Food was just ok. service was good. I ordered the tacos dorados combo plate. The taco shells where from a box. The waitress didn’t give us silverware and forgot to bring my beans & rice that came with the combo(food was bland anyway) I had better at the taco truck across the street.

Came in it was busy but found seating quickly. The waitresses were very nice && spoke English as well as Spanish. I ordered tacos of Asada which were pretty great. Also the gordida was also great. First time here and will come back in the future.

My co-worker and I went there on Tuesday as I have been raving to her about the food here. We both ordered a taco plate and we were almost done with lunch when she shows me a roach in her food! She stormed outside to vomit. I went to talk to the waitress/cashier and all she could say was I’m sorry. I felt horrible for insisting on us coming here to eat. I had been coming here for over a year. I wish I could give this restaurant a lower rating but it’s not possible. This restaurant is due for a quality inspection ASAP.

This place makes some great burritos. The meat is really lean and fresh too. They have a good selection of pan dulce as well. There is a dessert tortilla that’s pretty good. It’s a large tortilla with a sweet, sugary glaze. I’d say if you want good, affordable food go here. The service is good too.

So good, had the best tostadas with all fresh ingredients and very mild tasty salsa. Mine had grilled chicken and it was flavorful & plentiful. This place is the real deal in authentic Mexican taquerias. Waitstaff is extremely friendly and don’t be afraid that you’ll need to speak Spanish because they’re able to speak both English & Spanish fluently. Loved the food and the experience.

I don’t understand why this place has 4+ stars… I’ve been bugging my coworkers that we should try this on our lunch break one of these days, and in Unilocal I trusted for a great 4 star plus meal. My coworkers said the reason they don’t go there is because there’s never anyone there. I should have listened to them, as we were disappointed… Coworker 1: «The salsa tastes and looks like it came out of a can.» «This would be a good place for old people to eat, as everything is bland.» Coworker 2: «The chicken in these fajitas is dry, like it’s been microwaved one too many times.» «I’ve eaten chicken fajitas many other places, and even the supermarket ones are better than this.» I tried to keep an open mind. After all, it was my idea to go there. All in all, I had to concede that the salsa did seem lacking in flavor and texture, and my chili relleno was unremarkable. At best, this could be a 3 star place. It was OK. It definitely is a hole in the wall place, with crusty décor to match. The floors near the ordering counter were sticky. The one big plus was that the service was prompt, attentive, and very friendly. Unilocal, and Nancy, my how you’ve let me down! I think I’ve lost all new-restaurant-choosing-stock w/my coworkers. =-[ I think we’ll likely be sticking w/our regular place, Burrito Express. PS. Although the Unilocal name of the restaurant is «Nancy’s Restaurant,» the signs on the building and in front of the place say«Nancy’s #2.» After we ate, my coworkers said that the food certainly«lived up to the name.» lol.

Finally. Another place I can go to get my chile relleno burrito w/out any chile verde in it. Just had lunch there. Pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff, decent prices. A little too out of the way for me to go to frequently, but when I can take a leisurely lunch, this is worth it! Thrilled that a friend got me to try the place today.

Don’t let the nondescript look discourage you. Came here for lunch with co-workers and was pleasantly surprised. We were a large group(15+) but service and food was great. Waitress even split our orders separately so we could all pay individually. Even took a picture for us.

My mom makes delicious mexican food everyday, for this reason I almost never eat at mexican restaurants, lol, don’t feel some are authentic… But my hands down to Nancy’s Restaurant… Took my mom and son for breakfast and they enjoyed their food. We were surprised to see they had fresh«Bunuelos» these are hard to find. We got 5 to go, they are big and delicious! The staff was very friendly and always keep up with our needs, I will be back soon. :o)

In a town full of mexican food made by those who should know exactly how to make the good stuff. This place is THESTANDOUT for good Mexican food. Staff is friendly, location easy to get to, plenty of parking. But the food is AWESOME. Eat here, or you’re simply missing out!

This is the best Mexican food I had while visiting in Oxnard for a week. The tamales are fantastic! Fluffy masa, plenty of meat, good heat & all for just $ 1.29 apiece. My second time I had an asada burrito. It was easily the largest burrito I’ve ever eaten and very tasty. Ask for extra salsa as the 2 oz cup they give you is not enough. Very friendly staff & good food at a budget price. If I lived here, I would eat at Nancy’s at least 3 times a week.
